The sixth round of the WorldSBK race held in Donington Park last weekend saw Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) dominated both races contributing to the team’s 100th win in the championship.

Tom Sykes won Race 1 with Leon Haslam (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) in second followed by Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Racing) in third.

Jonathan Rea made an amazing comeback in Race 2 with the win followed by Tom Sykes and Chaz Davies.

It was a clear and landslide victory for both the Kawasaki Racing Team riders this past race weekend during the UK Round of the WorldSBK race held at the legendary Donington Park. After an interesting outcome from Race 1 which saw two of the top podium contenders crashing out, it was Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) aka “The King of Donington” who took the whole shot for Race 1. The super futuristic BMW Concept Link electric scooter was recently introduced during the annual Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy.

The Concept Link is a zero-emission vehicle that comes with great performance as well as high levels of intelligence to assist the rider while riding.

“The BMW Motorrad Concept Link, with its timeless and reduced style, is more than a concept – it is rather a symbol for a new era.”

BMW has unveiled its remarkable Concept Link electric scooter concept during the annual Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in Italy. According to the German auto and bike manufacturer, the zero-emission scooter concept will change the general perception of how two-wheelers are used as a mode of transportation in and out of the cities. The question on whether all-wheel drive motorcycles are real or fake remains a mystery to most of us but some manufacturers have already filed patents for their version of the hybrid motorcycles.

Manufacturers like Suzuki have already filed patents for a two-wheel drive hybrid maxi-scooter whereas the BMW R 1200 GS ‘xDrive Hybrid’ still remains a big question mark.

While some say that the BMW bike is just a well-planned prank for this year’s April Fool’s joke, some think that it’s more than just a joke.

The question on this particular mystery still remains. Is there any manufacturer out there planning to produce an all-wheel drive motorcycles anytime soon? The reason why this question came to be dated back a few years ago but the last month, BMW Motorrad actually announced they are indeed planning for an AWD BMW R 1200 GS with the ‘xDrive Hybrid’ system. Some spy photos of the Husqvarna 701 Svartpilen naked roadster has been going around the internet these past few days.

Based on the photos, it was confirmed that it is indeed a 701 based on the numbers indicated on the footrest of the bike.

The 701 currently being tested looks like a much more refined 701 with a few inspirations from its younger 401 sibling.

Spy shots of what looks like a Husqvarna 701 Svartpilen naked roadster has been circulating all over the internet these past couple of days. The Svartpilen was a bike built around the concept of the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 when it made its first appearance back in 2015 at the EICMA show in Milan, Italy. (more…)

Demak has finally released the prices of most of their 2017 models which was launched on 21 May 2017.

No further details and specifications has been released apart from their engine type, capacity, dimensions and fuel tank capacity.

The prices stated below are for the 2017 Explore 150, Sprinter 125, DJ 90, Xplor 1150, EZIO 100, Kobra 110 and Ace 200.

Following the recent and extensive launch of their 2017 motorcycle models, Demak has confirmed the prices for seven of the stated models. These models are the 2017 Explore 150, Sprinter 125, DJ 90, Xplor 1150, EZIO 100, Kobra 110 and Ace 200. (more…)

New plans for a Harley-Davidson manufacturing plant to be build in Thailand has emerged with operations planned to start in late of 2018.

The news sparks a few fires back home with accusations from the American workers unions stating that the manufacturer is cutting US jobs to hire foreign help instead.

The new plant is said to help go around high tariff rates for imported motorcycles in Asia.

The iconic American motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson has decided to build a new manufacturing plant right across our border in Thailand. The factory is said to start its operations sometime in late 2018. Although this means that the plant will create significant job opportunities for the Thai, the idea has sparked a few fires back home. (more…)
