New colour updates for 2020 Yamaha MT-09 – RM48,920

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has announced a new colour update for the 2020 Yamaha MT-09 offering, specifically the iconic Yamaha Blue colour scheme. The new update consists of several panels throughout the bike which is now grey (previously black) to further enhance the overall look of this very popular naked bike.

Upon closer inspection, the new grey panels consist of the front mudguard, appendages under the front headlight aka “winglets”, and a couple of bits covering the rear subframe. These minor updates might have elevated the façade of the Yamaha MT-09, but HLYM has also stated that there will be no changes to the price tag, which sits at RM48,920 (excluding insurance and road tax).

The Yamaha MT-09 remains to be a popular choice amongst Malaysian big bikers not only because of the price tag, but also the amount of power you get. Equipped with an 847cc inline-three DOHC engine, this naked bike produces a healthy 115hp at 10,000rpm and 87.6Nm of maximum torque at 8,500rpm.

Other specs of the 2020 Yamaha MT-09 remains the same, which includes its front 298mm dual disc brakes, rear single 245mm disc brake, 14-litre fuel tank, 193kg wet weight, and more. For more information, head over to the nearest authorised HLYM dealer or visit http://www.hongleong.com.my/.
