BMW Motorrad launches 2021 BMW G 310 R

The 2021 BMW G 310 R has finally dropped and for the second-generation model, this sub-500cc roadster from BMW Motorrad comes with a host of upgrades and updates from its performance all the way down to its looks.

This ‘Dynamic Roadster’ is arguably one of the best starter bikes for those who are fans of the brand without breaking the bank. Starting with the engine, the 2021 BMW G 310 R comes equipped with a 313cc single-cylinder DOHC liquid-cooled engine (now Euro5-compliant) that produces 34hp at 9,500rpm and 28Nm torque at 7,500rpm.

That’s the same as the first-generation model launched back in 2017 but to further enhance its power and torque delivery, the 2021 BMW G 310 R now comes with an automatic idle boost, electromotive throttle controller, and most importantly, a self-boosting anti-hopping clutch.

The new G 310 R also comes with a new LED headlight together with LED turn indicators, which now makes it a bike with an all-LED lighting system. Look a bit closer and you’ll see that its brake and clutch levers are now adjustable in four different settings to suit your preferred riding style.

Those who are interested should know that this beauty comes in three different colour options, which are Cosmic Black, Polar White, and the ‘Sport Style’ Limestone Metallic plus red graphics. All colours also come with a new engine alternator cover, clutch and coolant pump, footrest plate and rear grab handle finished in Titanium Grey Metallic.
