After almost one year filled with setbacks and delays, the 2018 TVS Apache RR 310 has finally been launched yesterday in India. The joint partnership between BMW Motorrad and India’s TVS has resulted in the birth of what some say the next generation entry-level sports bike.

Fitted with same 313cc single-cylinder engine found on the 2017 BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS, the new 2018 TVS Apache RR 310 is said to produce 34hp and over 27Nm of maximum torque. It is however slightly heavier the G 310 R by over 11kg thanks to the front fairing and other components.

Despite the bike being heavier with same amount of power and torque (and chassis) as its BMW counterpart, one look at this baby and we know it’s made to look good tackling to endless corners in the track. It is perhaps one of the best looking entry-level sport bikes currently in the market.

Other impressive features include a modern-looking LCD dash, all-round LED lights, dual-channel ABS and many more. Paired with a racing suspension package courtesy of Kayaba and ByBre brakes (ByBre is short for “By Brembo”), the 2018 TVS Apache RR 310 S is certainly a capable machine on paper.

As for the price, the Indian market is set at around INR205,000 which is around RM19,975 after direct conversion into the Malaysian Ringgit. Will it be available in Malaysia? We certainly hope so because we want both the Racing Red AND Sinister Black.
