The Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) has stated that Malaysia needs more motorcycle lanes as one of the ways to reduce the number of road accidents involving our fellow riders and pillions.
This is a problem that the country needs to deal with urgently as statistics in 2018 showcased an average of 18 deaths on Malaysian roads every day where the majority involved motorcyclists. (more…)

The roll out of the government’s Fuel Subsidy Program will be postponed.
The announcement was made just 2 days away from the proposed start date of 1st January 2020. The government had earlier announced the program on 7th October 2019.
In the press release issued by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Bin Ismail, stated that the ministry requires more room to implement a number of steps before launching the program.
The decision to put the program on hold was reached during a Cabinet meeting on 18th December 2019. The minister says that the postponement is “indefinite” and a new launch date will be announced later.
In view of this, fuel prices will be determined via the current system through the new year.
The program was intended to assist the B40 group with petrol costs, while fuel prices will follow market rates for those outside the group. That also means that petrol prices will increase over time.
Many have argued that the easiest MotoGP bike to ride based on observations, as well as the riders themselves, pointed towards the direction of the Yamaha YZR-M1. According to Repsol Honda’s team manager, Alberto Puig, that title goes to the Honda RCV213V and he has a strong argument on why he believes it as such. (more…)

BMW Motorrad is looking into adopting the latest technologies into the future electric bikes, but one particular tech that they’ve patented caught the most attention; wireless charging. It’s probably still in its infant stages but the ability to recharge a vehicle without having to take out the cable seems very interesting for a lot of folks. (more…)
