Ever since the launch of the 2018 Ducati Panigale V4, people have been enquiring regarding the prices for the worldwide market.

While it’s confirmed that the bike will cost from €22,590 (RM110,182) to €39,900 (RM194,608) in Europe, we thought that it might be priced between RM180,000 to RM250,000 once it’s here in Malaysia.

Rumours and gossips have pointed out that it might be cheaper than we initially thought which might be priced below RM150,000 or as low as RM120,000.

Ever since the Ducati Panigale V4 news broke out worldwide earlier this year, people have been talking about it non-stop from how much MotoGP technology will be embedded into it to how much of a fortune you need to spend on Ducati’s first ever four-cylinder production superbike. (more…)

For 2018, KTM has come up with the world’s first fuel-injected two-stroke motorcycles in the form of the 2018 KTM 250 EXC TPI and KTM 300 EXC TPI.

The ‘Transfer Port Injection’ has revived the future of two-strokes by improving all the disadvantages of two-stroke engines.

KTM’s TPI motorcycles also come in the Six Days Edition which are fitted with special graphics and performance upgrades.

The world of two-stroke motorcycles promises one thing and one thing only; immense amount of power from a relatively small engine package. Like the name, two-stroke engines are basically able to accomplish this thanks to their ability to complete a power cycle with only two-strokes whereas four-stroke engines require twice as much movement. The Bakat Besi bike build-off contest has finalised their selections of 12 bike customizers and constructors in the Peraduan Reka & Bina.

Initiated by R8der, a lifestyle and performance brand under Modenas, six teams will compete against each other to build the best custom Modenas Pulsar RS200, NS200 and V15 motorcycles.

Three ultimate winners will be chosen to take home the grand prize worth RM10,000 plus two years manufacturing contract.

Malaysia’s first ever talent search programme for Design and Bike Engineering that is Bakat Besi has selected the builder finalists for the Peraduan Reka Bina bike build-off. This very unique initiative conjured up by the folks over from R8der, a lifestyle and performance brand from Modenas, is focused on bringing in some of the best local talents and showcasing their skills plus creativity on a national platform. According to a survey made by R8der.my, the Modenas Pulsar NS200 was found to have produced the most amount of power at the lowest price.

The simple study was made by dividing the prices of the bikes with the amount of horsepower produced to get the “power-to-Ringgit” ratio.

Both the Pulsar NS200 and RS200 sit on top of that list with owners only having to pay RM384/hp and RM472/hp respectively.

What happens when you really think about how much you’re paying for the amount of horsepower your beloved motorcycle produces? Will you be impressed by the figures you’re coughing up or will you be surprised at how much it really costs for a bike that produces that much/little power? (more…)

Suzuki has announced their updated 2018 Suzuki GSX-S1000FZ Phantom for next year.

The new addition to the GSX-S Phantom family comes with all-matte black livery with red highlights plus a blacked-out exhaust.

Suzuki also introduced the 2018 Suzuki GSX-S1000 which now comes in white and the middleweight 2018 GSX-S750 in red and black.

Suzuki has announced their latest addition into the Phantom family which comes in the form of the 2018 Suzuki GSX-S1000FZ Phantom. The GSX-S1000FZ joins the 2017 Suzuki GSX-S1000 Phantom and Suzuki GSX-S750 Phantom which are already available in several markets worldwide. (more…)

Recent reports have indicated that the 2018 KTM 790 Duke aka “The Scalpel” will be priced around €10,000 for the European market (around RM48,432)

While the KTM 690 Duke and 1290 Super Duke R is priced at RM43,396 and RM118,000 (basic prices with GST), the 790 Duke should land somewhere in the middle of that range.

If the predictions are correct, we can expect KTM’s latest naked beast to be around the RM60,000 mark.

According to a recent report made by Asphalt & Rubber, early predictions for the 2018 KTM 790 Duke aka “The Scalpel” has quoted the amazing piece of machinery at around €10,000 for the European market. After a direct conversion, the price would be around RM48,432 which quite an attractive figure for such an outstanding middleweight. (more…)
