Could a Suzuki GSX-8R be in the works? According to reports from the Japanese motorcycle press, Suzuki might be gearing up to launch a sports bike based on the GSX-8S platform that could potentially become the GSX-8R.

  • the new 776cc parallel-twin engine could potentially leads to a new fully-faired sportsbike from Hamamatsu.
  • popular Japanese publication, Young-Machine hints at the arrival of the so called GSX-8R.

Last year, Suzuki introduced the GSX-8S and V-Strom 800DE, which marked the brand’s first all-new models in quite some time. These bikes showcased a new engine platform and chassis from the Japanese manufacturer. However, the spotlight has now shifted to what Suzuki might do with the parallel-twin platform in the future.

Rumours have been circulating about a possible new sports bike from Suzuki, and popular sources like Young Machine have hinted that it could be the next release from the company.

These rumors have gained attention and even sparked the imagination of motorcycle designer and YouTuber Mich Superbikes, who has created his own vision of a fully-faired machine based on the GSX-8S, which could potentially evolve into the GSX-8R.

For Suzuki, this would be an interesting move considering their recent decision to discontinue the iconic GSX-R1000 and withdraw from motorsport in an official capacity.

As of now, Suzuki has not made any official announcements about the potential GSX-8R. However, with the growing anticipation and speculations, motorcycle enthusiasts eagerly await any news regarding the development of this exciting new addition to Suzuki’s range

Honda will soon expand its Rebel 1100 range with a new variant, as reported by Japanese publication Young Machine.

  • The Honda Rebel 1100 Tour edition will feature a large bat-wing front fascia and big saddle bags.
  • To run on the same 1100cc parallel-twin engine found in the Hawk 11 and CRF1100L Africa Twin.

According to YM, Honda is set to add an all-new Rebel 1100 Tour edition.

How do they know this? We assumed they have a direct line to every Big Four in Japan, which is why every report they publish is spot on.

That said, after launching the Hawk 11 in Japan, Honda will soon introduce the Rebel 1100 Tour.

According to the rendered image by YM, we can see a side profile that looks similar to Harley-Davidson Road Glide.

This indicates that the Tour edition will feature a large bat-wing front fascia along with saddle bags.

However, while the Road Glide features a sizeable 22.7L fuel tank, the Rebel 1100 is fitted with a small 13.6L which is not ideal if you plan to go on a long cruise.

For that to happen, the Rebel 1100 Tour requires an extensive redesign of the fuel tank.

Nevertheless, with the EICMA show set to happen in a few months, the Rebel 1100 Tour could make an appearance in Milan.

So please stay tuned for more updates!

A few weeks ago, a Japanese publication, Autoby claimed that Honda plans to expand the 250 and 500cc range with an all-new scrambler-style motorcycle.

Japanese render artist Shinji Miyakubo also recently created a CG render of the CL250 and CL500.

However, in the latest report by another Japanese publication Young-Machine, patent drawings from 2018 could relate to Honda’s anticipated CL500 Scrambler.

Using Honda’s design concept all these years, YM has created their version of the rumoured CL500.

YM suggest that the CL500 will maintain most of the components from the CL250, particularly the brakes and suspension. However, the frame will be adjusted to accommodate the larger displacement engine similar to the Rebel 500.

In fact, the patent drawings showcased a similar resemblance with the Rebel.

The patent drawings also show a flat saddle, square fuel tank and a conventional shape exhaust compared to Miyakubo-san’s high-mounted twin pipe.

Meanwhile, it is safe to assume that the CL500 will carry the same 471cc DOHC parallel-twin engine that makes 46.9hp @ 8,500rpm and 43Nm @ 7,000rpm.

At the moment, there are absolutely zero words coming from the Japanese firm regarding the rumoured scrambler range; however, when YM is on to something, those rumours tend to carry something tangible.

The highly anticipated Kawasaki ZX-4R looks to be on its way, as confirmed by the latest reports.

Talk of a new 400cc inline-four sports bike has been around for quite some time, ever since the introduction of the quarter-litre ZX-25R.

Japanese publication, Young-Machine – known for getting the latest insight for Japanese motorcycles – has made the ZX-4R its latest cover for April with a render that is likely to be close to the final product.

The headline also suggests that Kawasaki is prepping for an official reveal very soon.

While the ZX-4R is somewhat related to the ZX-25R, the former will follow the ZX-10R design, prominently the sunken headlight and the air-duct.

Reports also suggest that the new bike will feature premium components, from Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), USD forks and riding modes.

We have yet to secure any information regarding how much power it might produce, but rumours have that it could be around 75hp and above.

Honda has filed a new patent in Japan that bears a striking resemblance to the Honda 1100 Rebel.

According to Japanese publication, Young-Machine, the upcoming 1100cc motorcycle likely to replace the outgoing CB1100 .

Looking at the overall layout of the new motorcycle, the upcoming 1100cc likely built around a tubular steel frame.

The current CB1100 has been in the market since 2011 and Honda has recently introduced a final edition to marked the end of the motorcycle.

Since the previous CB1100 did not received an updated engine to meet the Euro5 requirements, it’s only fair for Honda to revamped the CB1100 range with an all-new 1100cc parallel-twin engine.

According to reports, the new motorcycle will get the same 1,084cc parallel-twin engine from the Africa Twin including the dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

Young Machine even showcased how the next-gen CB1100 could looked like and even named it as GB1100, in-line with the naming of the recent GB350.
