Acerbis, the renowned aftermarket parts, accessory, and clothing manufacturer, is gearing up for an extraordinary world record attempt with the pint-sized Honda Monkey 125.

  • the plan involves traversing the distance from Albino, Italy to Nordkapp, the northernmost point of Norway.
  • Acerbis team has slapped the Monkey 125 with a 108L fuel tank.

While the Honda Monkey 125 boasts commendable fuel efficiency owing to its small engine and low-stress design, its standard 5.6-liter fuel tank grants it a range of approximately 257km. Acerbis recognized the need for modifications to cover the daunting 4,345km journey and set about creating a colossal custom-built fuel tank. This remarkable prototype tank has an astounding capacity of 108 liters, allowing the bike to attempt the official record for the “greatest distance driven on a single tank of fuel by a motorcycle (prototype).”

The Acerbis team, accompanied by their riders Andrea Rastrelli, Alicia Sornosa, and Maurizio Vettor, will embark on this epic adventure through several countries, including Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and finally, Norway. Surpassing the current record would mean traveling over 2,700 miles.

However, the team has no intentions of stopping there. If there’s fuel remaining in the tank and energy left in the riders’ bodies and minds, they plan to push on until the last drop of fuel is consumed, determined to explore the true limits of this little bike’s endurance.

With their audacious feat, Acerbis and its intrepid riders aim to leave an indelible mark in the annals of motorcycling history, showcasing the remarkable capabilities of the Honda Monkey 125 and pushing the boundaries of what is possible on two wheels.

Ali Abdo, an adventure rider from Egypt, has set a new Guinness World Record for the world’s longest journey on an electric motorcycle.

  • The Energica EVA EsseEsse9 is a high performance electric motorcycle.
  • The EVA EsseEsse9 makes 80kW and 200Nm.

The 38-year-old travelled 12,749 kilometres across Europe on his trusty and reliable Energica EVA EsseEsse9 for 30 days.

The journey ran from 10 October through 8 November, which he completed by arriving at the COP27 climate change conference held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

During the journey, Abdo’s visited several universities, schools and sports clubs to raise climate change awareness.

Despite the achievement of setting a new Guinness World Record, spreading the word about climate change was the proudest moment for Abdo and his team.

Aside from the new record, Abdo also has two more accolades. Firstly, he recorded the most incredible distance ever on an electric motorcycle in 24 hours, which was 919.87 kilometres. Next, he recorded the longest journey by electric bike in a single country.

Abdo’s next project is to ride from Egypt to the UAE to attend COP28.

Everything is about breaking the world record when it comes to Voxan.

During last year Halloween weekend, the Voxan team set a total of eleven new records at the Châteauroux Airfield in France, thanks to Max Biaggi.

Breaking 11 world records already an impressive accomplishment for Voxan, considering the world was caught up in the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, there is a new competitor in town, namely the White Motorcycle Concepts, who plans to set a new electric speed record with their WMC250EV in 2022.

As a result, team Voxan has decided not to back down from the challenge and is currently busy optimizing its Voxan Wattman streamliner with Max Biaggi set to return the second time.

“Trying to set new speed records barely one year after obtaining the very first ones is exhilarating! I am fortunate to count on an inspired and inspiring team who made the Voxan Wattman the fastest electric motorcycle in the world.

“11 records (validated by the International Motorcycling Federation), that’s good but… not enough! I still want to help advance electric mobility,” said Gildo Pastor, Venturi-Voxan President.
