Having unveiled the Ignition concept at last month’s EICMA show in Milan, Victory Motorcycles revealed another concept yesterday, called the Combustion concept at the ongoing New York International Motorcycle Show.

Powered by the brand’s Project 156 liquid-cooled 1200cc 60-degree V-Twin engine and chassis just like the Ignition concept, the Combustion was built by Zach Ness of Victory’s long time collaborators, Arlen Ness Motorcycles.

Looking quite close to being production-ready, the Combustion is said to have taken inspiration from muscle cars with a focus on high horsepower and low weight.

According to Victory, the Combustion uses the same rear suspension and swingarm as the Ignition, but the former’s fork is less beefy and not inverted like the previous concept’s front suspension.

Custom features included knurled grips, Wright spoke wheels with billet hubs and rims, custom-painted Brembo radial calipers and beveled brake rotors.

Gary Gray, Victory’s product director said, “This new engine offers the most versatility in American motorcycling. Both of the concepts – Ignition and Combustion, are intended to show what this motor is capable of in very distinct, visual forms. While the bikes are different, the powertrain is capable of delivering the performance in both cases.”

Victory says that the Combustion is its final 1200cc concept, following the Ignition and the Project 156 bike that raced at Pikes Peak.

Victory Motorcycles has announced its 2016 product range. According to the company, there will not be any new model, but only existing models with subtle design updates and new colours.

The biggest highlights of  the 2016 Victory Motorcycles lineup are the Vegas 8-Ball and the Vegas, where each model will feature an improved round headlight and colour-matched frames. Victory has also upgraded the wheels for each model, with lighter and stronger cast aluminium ‘Falchion’ rims. A new, sleeker headlight further slims the profile. The Vegas 8-Ball comes in Gloss Black and the Vegas is only on sale in Sunset Red.

As for the Gunner, things remain pretty much the same, except the addition of two new colours – Suede Titanium Metallic and Suede Sagebrush Green Metallic.

The Judge on the other hand, will also come in a new colour next year– Sunset Red with Black Rally Stripes.

And then, there is the Magnum, which has had the biggest makeover in the range with new paint-schemes that have stripes running from the fairing to the tail.

The Magnum will come in three colour options with two of these completely new for 2016. The two new schemes are Black Crystal over Havasu Red and Suede Pearl White with Black. The third colour is Black Crystal over Super Steel Grey.

The Cross County Tour, which carries a whopping 156 litres of gear atop a versatile cast-aluminium chassis, also gets two new colours for 2016 – Gloss Black or Gloss Pearl White over Super Steel Grey. The highlight about this bike is that it can be ridden two-up with fully loaded bags, and also be stripped down for a solo ride by removing the quick-detach rear trunk.

Last but not the least, the Vision’s modern design broke the mould for American touring models immediately on its release. The bold and flowing design wraps the rider in unparalleled comfort.

The aerodynamic bodywork and frame-mounted fairing featuring a power windshield gives the rider a smooth pocket no matter what speed they ride. And the cast aluminium chassis carves through corners and smoothens out highways no matter how long the trip. This year the Vision is available in Gloss Black.

Victory Motorcycles has unveiled its first full production electric bike model called the Empulse TT.

The bike, which is a revised version of the Brammo Empulse R, will only be sold in the US, until Victory completes a ‘process of determining global demand’.

Sharing the same DNA with the Empulse R, the Victory Empuse TT now has a longer recharge time and shorter combined range than the Brammo Empluse R.

The Victory Empulse TT is capable of top speeds over 160 kmh and it has a high-capacity 10.4kWh battery. The bike has a built-in battery charger and an easily accessible SAE J1772 plug atop the bodywork to the front of the seat.

The bike’s Brammo Power Lithium Ion battery fully charges up in just under four hours using a Stage 2 charger (available as an accessory utilising a 240V outlet).

In typical riding, the Empulse TT battery provides riders with a range of about 65 miles and a range of 100 miles is possible with throttle management and use of the bike’s regenerative charging. In preliminary testing, the bike demonstrated a Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) city range of 94 miles. The bike delivered an MIC “combined 70 mph highway and city range” of 57 miles.

Riders can make the most efficient use of the battery’s 10.4kWh of electricity by using the six-speed gearbox. Shifting and downshifting helps to create regenerative power (when the bike is under deceleration) and also produces a feeling similar to the compression braking that riders experience on petrol-powered motorcycles.

2015 Victory Magnum

Reports are out that Victory America had just launched its 2015 line-up which includes the 2015 Magnum. Just like the richly tasting chock covered vanilla ice cream, the Victory Magnum rolls out already brimming with the latest factory custom styling one can think off, just like the Cross Country but with more attitudes.

It starts with a 21inch front wheel handled by the ape hanger bar, super low seat (667mm off the ground) and all visually cascades down into the twin hard cases in the back.

Power comes from the standard Victory engine line up, a 1731cc air-cooled V-twin producing about 90hp.

Cruise control and a 100 watt six-speaker system comes as standard and if that is still not enough there is an option to stick more speakers on the hard case saddlebags
