Berita mengejut hadir dari kem Monster Energy Yamaha apabila pelumba veteran, Valentino Rossi disahkan kembali positif Covid-19.

Rossi terlepas dua pusingan di Aragon Oktober lalu apabila dia didapati positif selepas aksi di Le Mans.

Meskipun masih lagi positif pada Selasa minggu lalu, dia kemudiannya dibenarkan beraksi di Valencia selepas ujian PCR pada Khamis dan Jumaat mendapati negatif.

Bagaimanapun, dia gagal menamatkan aksi selepas lima lap susulan masalah mekanikal.

Kini, Rossi berdepan satu lagi berita buruk apabila disahkan positif Covid-19 dalam ujian pada Selasa.

Seperti minggu sebelumnya, Rossi perlu menjalani ujian kedua sebelum dibenarkan beraksi hujung minggu ini.

Sekiranya masih positif, Rossi bakal terlepas aksi terakhirnya bersama pasukan factory Yamaha di Portugal selepas disahkan sertai Petronas SRT bagi musim 2021.

Dalam perkembangan sama, keputusan positif Rossi mencetuskan persoalan tentang keberkesanan ujian PCR dan sama ada dia benar-benar bebas Covid-19 sewaktu dibenarkan beraksi di GP Eropah minggu lalu.

Valentino Rossi akan kembali beraksi di GP Kelayakan bermula dengan sesi kelayakan yang berlangsung, hari ini.

Pelumba Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP itu terlepas dua pusingan di Aragon selepas didapati positif Covid-19 dan kemudian terlepas sesi ujian bebas pada Jumaat apabila keputusannya masih lagi positif awal minggu ini.

Bagaimanapun, keputusan negatif yang dirakam sewaktu ujian PCR pada Khamis dan Jumaat menyaksikan Rossi dibenarkan untuk kembali disatukan bersama Yamaha dan beraksi di Gran Premio de Europa.

Ini bermakna, pelumba gantian Garrett Gerloff yang sempat beraksi pada Jumaat dengan merekodkan P16 di FP1 dan P19 ketika FP2 sewaktu ujian bebas akan kembali menyerahkan jentera YZR-M1 kepada Rossi.

Dalam perkembangan sama, Maverick Vinales terpaksa bermula di ‘pit lane’ susulan terpaksa mengguna pakai enjin keenam bagi aksi di Valencia sekaligus melanggar kuota lima enjin yang dibenarkan musim ini.

*Vinales telah pun menggunakan kesemua lima enjin yang diperuntukkan musim ini.

Rakan sepasukan Rossi itu juga perlu bermula lima saat selepas perlumbaan bermula.

Senario ini sekaligus menyekat hasrat Vinales untuk merapatkan jurang dengan pendahulu Joan Mir yang ketika ini hanya dipisahkan dengan 19 mata di tempat ketiga kejuaran dunia MotoGP.

Three rounds remaining in the 2020 MotoGP world championship, and it looks like Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi might just miss more of these races as he once again tested positive for COVID-19 on 3 November 2020.

Valentino Rossi mengakui berasa terkilan apabila ujian Covid-19 terbaru dilakukan masih lagi menghadirkan keputusan positif.

Juara dunia sembila kali itu terlepas dua perlumbaan di Aragon apabila didapati positif Covid-19.

Bagaimanapun, perancangannya untuk kembali di Valencia hujung minggu ini terpaksa dibatalkan susulan keputusan ujian Covid-19 yang dilakukan semalam masih lagi positif.

Menurut peraturan FIM, setiap pelumba perlu merekodkan dua keputusan negatif dalam tempoh 48 jam.

Menurut Yamaha, tempat Rossi akan diisi dengan pelumba Kejuaraan Superbike Dunia (WSBK) GRT Yamaha, Garret Gerloff.

Rossi dalams satu kenyataan menjelaskan situasi semasanya.

“Virus ini cukup kompleks dan serius, pada awalnya saya berasa tidak sihat sebelum kembali cergas beberapa hari selepas itu.

“Situasi ini cukup sukar tetapi inilah dia,” katanya.

Nine-time MotoGP world champion, Valentino Rossi, will miss this week’s Aragon GP and most likely the next round at the same venue after testing positive for COVID-19.
