Certain 2022 Triumph Trident 660 is getting a recall by Triumph Motorcycles America due to a potentially faulty side stand.

According to Triumph, the side stand of the affected units might bend over time, which could cause to bike to stumble and tip over.

The process may happen gradually with the bike will lean further than usual before it finally falls.

A total of 314 Trident 660 sold in the U.S are affected by the recall, produced between February 7, 2021, to May 15, 2021.

Triumph has since changed to a robust side stand unit which is no longer believed to be affected.

As it turns out, a third-party supplier had used an incorrect material that did not meet specifications and has since been corrected.

  • Frame and rear-subframe
  • Panels and wheels
  • Final drive system (including transmission)
  • Gates Carbon belt drive,
  • Ohlins USD cartridge forks,
  • Ohlins RSU,
  • Brembo M50 monobloc callipers
  • Triumph Motorcycle control software

Triumph Motorcycles has officially unveiled the TE-1 electric motorcycle prototype, marking the company first step into an electrifying future.

You are no longer looking at a mockup drawing; instead, the beast in the photo is a fully working and operational prototype of Triumph’s first electric motorcycle.

While Triumph might apply changes in the coming months, other major components, including the attractive single-sided swingarm and exposed frame, will remain.

The completion of the project also marks the end of the collaboration between Triumph, Williams Advanced Engineering, Integral Powertrain Ltd, and WMG at the University of Warwick, funded by the Office for Zero-Emission Vehicles.

The TE-1 combines the industry’s various innovations with Triumph leading the pack with:

  • frame and rear-subframe
  • panels and wheels
  • final drive system including transmission
  • Gates Carbon belt drive,
  • Ohlins USD cartridge forks,
  • Ohlins RSU,
  • Brembo M50 monobloc callipers
  • Triumph Motorcycle control software

Meanwhile, Integral Powertrain Ltd provides the final powertrain with a scalable integrated inverter and combined motor with silicon carbide switching technology and integrated cooling.

WMG, on the other hand, ensure the project is on course to deliver the intended performance and durability.

According to Triumph official statement, the test result also exceeded the benchmark set by the UK Automotive Council for 2025.

The main objective behind Triumph’s TE-1 project is to develop a competent electric motorcycle that will become the company’s pillar in electrifying the future and subsequently enhance the credibility of British industry and design.

Triumph expected the test to be fully complete in the summer.

The collaboration between Triumph and Bajaj Auto is finally upon us as the test mule motorcycle was caught doing rounds for the first time.

From its looks, the upcoming Baby Triumph will not be based on the Trident 660 or any of the Hinckley’s naked range, but instead, the test mule looks similar to the firm Scrambler 1200 lineup.

We can see that the test mule features some similar components and parts to those found on the Bajaj-built KTM 390 Duke.

According to YouTuber MOTOBOB, who came across the test bike, the dash is lifted straight from the 390 Duke, and while it could change later during the production stage, it shows how closely Triumph and Bajaj are working.

Other similar components taken from the 390 includes ByBre radially-mounted two-piston brake callipers.

While we know the bike runs on a single-cylinder Euro5 certified engine, the finer details, including the engine capacity (rumoured to be between 350cc to 500cc), is still unknown.

Although Bajaj is responsible for the engine development and manufacturing, the motorcycle will carry Triumph’s badge.

Looking at how aggressively Triumph’s is developing the new bike, we assume that the finished product will debut later this year.

The baby Triumph could find its way to rival other small capacity single-cylinder machines like the 390 Duke, BMW G 310, Honda CB300R, Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Bajaj’s very own Dominar 400 UG.

Back in December, Triumph has officially launched the 2022 Tiger 1200, marking the British brand big step into the adventure-touring segment.

While no official release date was disclosed at the time, Triumph Motorcycles Malaysia has confirmed that the new motorcycle is scheduled to arrive in Malaysia sometime in Q2 2022.

The news did not come as a surprise considering Fast Bike Sdn Bhd (the sole distributor of the Hinckley brand in Malaysia) has frequently rolled out the latest model within a short period of time after its global launch. Talk about efficiency!

Anyway, the few months of waiting could give customers just enough time to start saving before the arrival of the new Tiger 1200.

The construction of the new Tiger 1200 focused solely on creating lighter and much powerful ADV bikes with class-leading handling and specs on and off-road.

At the centre of the building is an all-new T-Plane crank engine that was previously introduced on the Tiger 900 range.

The all-new 1160cc powerplant now makes 147hp @ 9,000rpm (8.5hp increase than the previous generation) and 130Nm @ 7,000rpm (8Nm up).

This time around, the Tiger 1200 features GT and Rally editions with the addition of new Explorer versions that boast a 30L fuel tank, higher-spec kit and added electronics.

The Tiger 1200 GT and GT Pro features semi-active Showa suspension and gets a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear cast aluminium wheel.

While the Tiger 1200 Rally and Rally Pro are equipped with 21″ front and 18″ rear tubeless rims for superior off-road handling and ability.

However, the Explorer variant boasts an innovative blind spot detection system like the one available on the Ducati Multistrada V4 and KTM 1290 Super Adventure S including a substantial 30L fuel tank.

  • fork depan USD 41mm Showa
  • monoshock belakang Showa
  • tinggi tempat duduk 835mm
  • tangki 17.2L
  • lampu LED penuh
  • paparan TFT berwarna dengan fungsi My Triumph Connectivity
