The latest addition to Triumph’s lineup, the Stealth Edition motorcycles, introduces a captivating, darker aesthetic to the renowned British brand.

These Stealth Edition bikes, totaling eight in number and are of Bonneville derivatives, step in as successors to the previous year’s Chrome Collection, which had itself replaced the 2021 Gold Line models.

This exclusive collection comprises the following Triumph Bonneville derivatives: the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster (red), Triumph Bonneville Bobber (purple), Triumph Bonneville T100 (blue), Triumph Bonneville T120 (blue), Triumph Bonneville T120 Black (black), Triumph Speed Twin 1200 (red), Triumph Speed Twin 900 (green), and Triumph Scrambler 900 (orange).

Each of these motorcycles in the collection boasts a unique color scheme, with the hue elegantly adorning the fuel tank and gradually transitioning to a stylish graphite black towards the front of the tank.

It’s important to note that none of these bikes receive any performance enhancements or technical alterations. The Stealth Edition bikes are primarily a visual transformation compared to their standard counterparts.

Triumph has underlined that the Stealth Edition bikes are hand-painted in a custom style and, similar to the previous Chrome Collection and Gold Line, will only be available for a limited duration of one year. Enthusiasts can already place orders for these models at Triumph dealers, and these bikes are expected to be available in dealerships from February 2024.

Model-model tertentu yang dibincangkan adalah Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster (merah), Triumph Bonneville Bobber (ungu), Triumph Bonneville T100 (biru), Triumph Bonneville T120 (biru), Triumph Bonneville T120 Black (hitam), Triumph Speed Twin 1200 (merah), Triumph Speed Twin 900 (hijau), dan Triumph Scrambler 900 (oren).

Semua motosikal dalam koleksi ini mempunyai warna tersendiri, tetapi dalam setiap kes, warna tersebut digunakan pada tangki bahan api dan memudar kepada warna hitam grafit di bahagian hadapan tangki.

Perlu diperhatikan bahawa tidak ada peningkatan prestasi atau perubahan teknikal yang diberikan kepada motosikal ini – motosikal Edisi Stealth adalah perubahan semata-mata dari segi estetik berbanding dengan model standard yang berkenaan.

Triumph menyatakan bahawa motosikal Edisi Stealth dicat dalam gaya kustom dan, seperti Koleksi Chrome dan Garis Emas sebelumnya, hanya akan tersedia selama satu tahun. Tempahan boleh dilakukan sekarang di ejen-ejen Triumph, dan motosikal ini dijangkakan akan tiba di ejen-ejen mulai Februari 2024.

Triumph Motorcycles memperkenalkan tujuh model Triumph Bonneville yang telah dikemas kini dengan beberapa ciri baharu bagi 2021.

Ketika pelaksanaan Euro 5 menyaksikan pengeluar menghentikan pengeluaran beberapa model popular, Triumph Motorcycles menggunakan peluang itu untuk melaksanakan beberapa kemas kini bagi keluarga Bonneville.

Triumph Bonneville T120 dan T120 Black 2021

Kedua model ini kini tampil dengan enjin 1200cc berstatus Euro 5 dan menjana 79hp pada 6,550rpm dan 105Nm pada 3,500rpm.

Menurut Triumph, selain daripada menghasilkan emisi yang lebih rendah berbanding model sebelumnya, enjin ini juga menawarkan penjimatan minyak yang lebih efisien.

*Triumph T120 Black 2021

Kedua-dua model juga 7kg lebih ringan hasil daripada penggunaan rim aluminium sementara sistem membrek dikendalikan kaliper Brembo dengan cakera brek berkembar.

Model ini juga tampil dengan sistem cruise control yang didatangkan secara standard .

Triumph Bonneville T100 2021

T100 mendapat kemas kini yang lebih ketara dengan enjin 900cc silinder berkembar kini menawarkan 64hp pada 7,400rpm (naik 10hp) dan 80Nm pada 3,750rpm.

Triumph turut mendakwa 80 peratus daripada tork itu boleh dirasai seawal 2,000rpm hingga 7,000rpm daripada enjin berstatus Euro 5 itu.

Red line juga naik 500rpm berbanding model sebelumnya.

Triumph Street Twin 2021

Generasi baharu Street Twin ini dikuasakan dengan enjin 900cc High Torque (Euro 5) yang menjana 64hp pada 7,500rpm dan 80Nm seawal 3,800rpm dengan segala kuasa itu kini boleh dikawal menerusi sistem ride-by-wire.

Rekaan keseluruhan juga telah dipertingkat dengan ciri lebih premium antaranya rim jenis cast baharu, tempat duduk lebih selesa, serta kemasan baharu.

Lampu depan juga menampilkan lencana Triumph dengan penggunaan LED depan dan belakang.

Antara ciri lain ditawarkan:

Hanya 1,000 unit dihasilkan untuk seluruh dunia dan setiap pembelian akan didatangkan dengan sijil pengesahan rasmi oleh Triumph.

Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster 2021

Motosikal cruiser Triumph ini juga mendapat sentuhan terkini dengan enjin 1200c telah dipertingkat bagi menawarkan tork tinggi sewaktu RPM rendah.

Seperti enjin 1200cc lain, Speedmaster juga tampil dengan Euro 5 sekaligus menjaminkan penjimatan minyak terbaik di samping emisi rendah.

Speedmaster menawarkan 77hp pada 6,100rpm dan 106Nm pada 3,850rpm dengan 90 peratus tork dirasai sehingga 5,750rpm.

Model ini juga tampil dengan teknologi ride-by-wire yang menjaminkan kawalan throttle lebih tepat serta dua mod tunggangan, Rain dan Road.

Antara ciri lain ditawarkan:

  • fork depan Showa 47mm dengan preload boleh laras serta monoshock belakang

Triumph Bonneville Bobber 2021

Seperti model Bonneville lain, Bobber juga tidak terlepas daripada menerima kemas kini baharu termasuklah enjin 1200cc yang kini Euro 5.

Menurut Triumph, respon enjin kini lebih efisien serta tork lebih lancar.

Enjin 1200cc High Torque ini menjana 77hp pada 6,100rpm dan 106Nm pada 4,000rpm.

Bobber 2021 ini juga tampil dengan tangki lebih besar dengan kapasiti 12L sekaligus menawarkan jarak 33 peratus lebih jauh berbanding model sebelumnya.

Model 2021 ini tampil dengan tayar depan 16″ serta fork depan 47″sekaligus mewujudkan rupa yang lebih gagah.

Antara ciri lain ditawarkan:

  • tayar Avon Cobra dengan rim jenis spoke
  • Brembo 2-piston dengan cakera brek berkembar
  • ABS
  • Switchable Traction Control
  • tempat duduk aluminium jenis terapung dengan ketinggian 690mm

Triumph Bonneville Bobber 2021 didatangkan dengan tiga warna pilihan; Matt Storm grey denga Matt Ironstone, Cordovan Red scheme, serta Jet Black.

Menariknya, kesemua model Bonneville ini menawarkan jarak servis pada setiap 16,000 kilometer.

Triumph Motorcycles bakal memperkenalkan barisan model baharu Bonneville 2021 secara atas talian pada 23 Februari ini.

Triumph telah pun memuat naik video ‘teaser’ mengumumkan pelancaran global model Bonneville pada hujung bulan ini.

Berdasarkan video berdurasi 45 saat itu, enam model Bonneville akan diperkenalkan dengan kemas kini rekaan dan ciri baharu bagi 2021.

Setakat ini, tiada sebarang info mahupun khabar angin bahawa sebarang naik taraf mekanikal akan dilaksanakan kecuali enjin yang dijanka mencapai standard Euro 5.

Nantikan pelancaran rasmi pada 23 Februari ini pada jam 12 PM GMT (8 malam waktu Malaysia).

  • There are just too many, thus we’ll break them into parts.

Motorcycle names can be as interesting as the bikes themselves. Manufacturers usually choose them based on heritage, branding, range or the kind of emotions they allude to.

There are too many to think about, so we’ll put in what comes to mind.

1. BMW GS

The “GS” moniker made its appearance in 1980 with the R 80 G/S. It stands for Gelände/Straße (or Strasse), or off-road/road in German. Appropriate for the dual-sport bike.

2. Ducati 851, 888, 916, 995,996, 999, 1098

Ducati superbikes were named with numbers between the 750 SS/Pantah and Panigale. The numbers simply pointed out the bikes’ engine capacities. Other models had and do have their capacities in their names, of course, but they include specific names such as Hypermotard, Monster, Multistrada, Scrambler, Supersport.

3. Ducati Panigale

The Panigale is named after the Borgo Panigale industrial district in Bologna, Italy. It’s also where Ducati calls home. Do make sure that your Panigale doesn’t have the “e” missing, because “Panigal” is a soap manufacturer in the same district.

4. Ducati Paso 750

1989 750 Passo

Debuting in EICMA 1985, the Ducati Paso 75- was a tribute to Italian GP racer Renzo Pasolini. Popularly known as “Paso,” he crashed during the 250cc Monza race in 1973. Jarno Saarinen (who pioneered the kneedown technique) who was directly behind couldn’t avoid Paso and also crashed. The accident caused a chain reaction which involved 12 riders and took the lives of Paso and Saarinen.

5. Triumph Bonneville

Triumph Bonneville T100 Black

This one is quite easy. The Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, United States is the prime location where land speed records are made or broken. As for the Triumph Bonneville, it’s an homage to the “Devil’s Arrow,” piloted by Johnny Allen in 1955. The “streamliner” (which basically looks like a rocket) was powered by a Triumph 650cc parallel-Twin which was tuned to burn methanol. It hit a two-way average speed of 311 km/h.

6. Triumph Thruxton

The Thruxton name is actually a racetrack in the UK. But Triumph had built special models for the Thruxton 500 endurance in 1969. They came away with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placings. It was the start of the café racer era.

  • Triumph Motorcycles Malaysia launched two limited-edition models today, namely the Triumph Bonneville T120 Diamond Edition and the Triumph Bonneville T120 Ace Café.

  • The Bonneville T120 Diamond Edition celebrates the 60th anniversary of the 1959 Bonneville T120.

  • The Bonneville T120 Ace Café celebrates the birthplace of café racers, on the other hand.

Triumph Motorcycles Malaysia launched two limited-edition models today, namely the Triumph Bonneville T120 Diamond Edition and the Triumph Bonneville T120 Ace Café.

Both are special commemorative models and were launched as a pair earlier this year. Although they  are Bonnie T120 twins, each boasts distinctively different stylistic cues, lending to that good twin/bad twin adage.

The duo are powered by the 1200cc, liquid-cooled, HT (High Torque) parallel-Twin which features a 270o crankshaft spacing.

Triumph Bonneville T120 Diamond Edition – From 74,900

It’s called the Diamond Edition because it commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Bonneville, which made its appearance in 1959 Bonneville T120. The “T120” name is hallowed in Triumph’s history as it was the first bike to hit 115 mph (185 km/h) in stock form and 120 mph (192 km/h) with slight modifications.

Highlights:
  • Premium one-off Snowdonia Whie and Aluminium Silver “Union Flag” on the gas tank.

  • Unique T120 Diamond side panel branding.
  • Chrome 4-bar Triumph badges on the gas tank.

Triumph Bonneville T120 Ace Café – From RM 75,900

The legendary Ace Café in London is considered the birthplace of the café racer. Legend has it that the riders there will challenge each other to race on a street circuit and return to the venue before a song ends on the jukebox. Hence, probably why the bike is “blacked out” for that mean, stripped down, hopped-up and “Head Down – Hold On” attitude.

Features:
  • One-off Matt Storm Grey paint scheme with racing stripes.
  • Ace Café logo on the front mudguard and side panels.
  • “Head Down – Hold On” detailing on the fuel tank.

  • Blacked-out detailing throughout.
  • Black four-bar Triumph badge on the gas tank.

Kerjasama di antara Bajaj Auto Limited dan jenama motosikal Britain, Triumph Motorcycles semakin direalisasikan sekaligus bakal menyaksikan jentera Triumph dengan enjin bersaiz kecil akan dihasilkan.

Kedua-dua nama besar ini mengumumkan jalinan kerjasama mereka pada Ogos 2017 namun baru-baru ini Pengarah Eksekutif Bajaj Auto, Rakesh Sharma, telah pun mengesahkan bahawa perbincangan dua belah pihak telah pun memasuki fasa akhir dan akan termeterai dalam masa beberapa bulan sahaja.

Difahamkan jentera sulung Triumph-Bajaj kini giat dibangunkan dengan segala rekaan hadir daripada ibu pejabat Triumph di Hinckley sementara Bajaj bertanggungjawab membangunkan enjin dan chasis.

Model kerjasama Triumph-Bajaj ini dijangka akan dijual di pasaran India sebelum beralih ke pasaran Asia lain.

Ketika ini masih tiada maklumat mengenai jenis motosikal yang akan dihasilkan menerusi kerjasama ini namun timbul desas-desus mengatakan mereka akan menghasilkan jentera moden klasik (seperti Triumph Bonneville) dengan enjin 300-500cc.

The Triumph Bonneville T120 Diamond Edition will soon arrive in Malaysia.

The model commemorates the 60th anniversary of the legendary 1959 Bonneville T120. It replaced the equally legendary TR6 which won many races including the Baja rally and was the bike used in “The Great Escape.”

At the time, the Bonneville T120 was one of the fastest production motorcycles on the planet. It already hit 115 mph (185 km/h) in stock form while slight modifications would see 120 mph (193 km/h) or more. That was how its “T120” name was derived.

As such, the current Bonnie T120 Diamond Edition carries many important features, such as:

  • Premium one-off Snowdonia White and Aluminium Silver “Union Flag” paint scheme on the fuel tank.
  • Unique Bonneville T120 “Diamond” side panel branding.
  • Chrome 4-bar Triumph badges on the fuel tank.
  • Chrome engine covers and badges.
  • Chrome chain guard.

It’s not just a matter of a pretty paint scheme and chrome, however. Only 900 will ever be built. Each bike will be accompanied by a numbered certificate, signed by Triumph CEO, Nick Bloor himself.

You know, there are many reasons why we love motorcycles; among them is the ability to individualize them to whichever philosophy one chooses. Case in point is this Berluti Triumph Bonneville which wouldn’t be out of place on a fashion catwalk.

It’s not new for fashion houses to get involved with motorcycling, of course. Some produce clothing with riding gear styles, some commission entire motorcycle builts. For example, Chanel recently teamed up with Pharrell Williams and Veldt to create some truly funky helmets.

This bike, on the other hand, was commissioned by Maison Berluti, a sub-brand of infamous Louis Vuitton (LV). The bike is part of the “Berluti Beach” collection which includes a Porsche 911 Targa, gym weight kit, and soccer ball.

As you can see from the pictures, the stock bodywork has been replaced with a curvy one, made from a single piece of carbon fibre. Since Berluti is a leather specialist, the seat is topped off with a specialty “Vitello Fiore” brown hide.

The 1200cc, liquid-cooled T120 engine is left stock.

The bike will be auctioned at Sotheby’s along with a pair of matching leather boots and leather-wrapped helmet.

  • Flat-track racers or inspired customs are unmistakable like this Triumph Bonneville Super Hooligan flat-tracker.

  • Art Hartman, the racer who build this bike finds the Bonnie lighter and nimbler.

Flat-track racing may not be popular due to lack of visibility here in Malaysia, but no one could ever forget the experience of watching one of the races. The bikes that race in the series are also unmistakable, such as this Triumph Bonneville Super Hooligan flat-tracker.

If we behold sportbikes are about technology and unobtanium components, we ought to admire flat-track racers for their purity. That purity of form is for one thing – blasting sideways around a dirt oval track at 200 km/h.

Sure, there were other builts that take the form of flat-trackers, including a built kit in the Harley catalogue, but this Triumph looks prettier!

This Triumph Bonneville Flat-Tracker for the Super Hooligan class that you see here was built by racer Paul Hartman.

He had destroyed his Harley-Davidson racebike in a hill climb event and need to build a new Super-Hooligan spec bike. The regulations call for a stock frame and engine of 750cc and up.

Instead of redoing another Harley Sportster, Hartman chose the Triumph Bonneville. He explained that while Harleys are the chosen Super Hooligan racer, it is heavy and has a long wheelbase. However, he found the perfect bike in the Bonnie, since it weighs only 204 kg and the wheelbase is 51 mm shorter than the Sportster’s.

Hartman went to work with a 2006 Bonneville T100, leaving only the ECU and two other parts factory stock, while the rest are race-spec components. There is a lightweight Antigravity lithium battery to save weight. The exhaust is an S&S flat-track unit, intake air is handled by a K&N filter. The anodized black wheels are sourced from Performance Machine. The tanks and seat unit are painted blue to contrast with the black parts, to a stunning result.
