Motorcycle enthusiasts in Malaysia were treated to a momentous occasion as the long-awaited Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 made its debut at the 2023 Art Of Speed event.

Having gained worldwide acclaim since its global release last year, the cruiser-style motorcycle is now up for pre-booking in Malaysia.
The Super Meteor 650 will be available in two variants, with the Tourer as the flagship model.

The Super Meteor 650 maintains Royal Enfield’s legacy of crafting exceptional cruisers and features the renowned 648cc twin platform that earned accolades with the Interceptor INT 650 and Continental GT 650 models. To ensure unmatched reliability and enjoyment, the motorcycle has undergone rigorous testing, covering over one million kilometers on roads across Europe and Asia.

This versatile cruiser comes in two variants, the Super Meteor 650 and Super Meteor 650 Tourer, each available in five striking colors. Its design exudes retro charm while incorporating modern elements, like the first-ever LED headlamp from Royal Enfield.

With an emphasis on rider comfort and ergonomics, the Super Meteor 650 boasts fully feet-forward foot controls, wide handlebars, and a low stance, providing an effortless and connected riding experience. The motorcycle’s frame and swingarm were entirely redesigned in collaboration with Harris Performance, ensuring a low center of gravity for high-speed stability and maneuverability.

For added convenience, the Super Meteor 650 is equipped with the Royal Enfield Tripper, a Turn-By-Turn navigation pod, as well as a USB socket for electronic devices.

For customization and touring enthusiasts, Royal Enfield offers a range of genuine motorcycle accessories to enhance the Super Meteor 650’s capabilities. The Solo Tourer theme provides solo touring amenities, while the Grand Tourer theme caters to two-up adventures.

Riders in Malaysia can now pre-order the Super Meteor 650 at authorized Royal Enfield dealerships, with deliveries scheduled to begin in late September 2023 with the official price is said to be below RM40k.

Super Meteor 650 merupakan model ketiga yang digerakkan enjin parallel-twin 650cc keluaran Royal Enfield selepas Continental GT dan Interceptor.

Meskipun dihidupkan enjin sama namun Super Meteor 650 dibangunkan dengan pelbagai komponen berbeza termasuk kerangka baharu, geometri suspensi yang berbeza, tangki yang direka semula serta swingarm serba baharu.

Pada masa sama, Super Meteor 650 juga merupakan model 650cc pertama yang dilengkapi dengan lampu LED penuh dan fork jenis USD. Bagaimanapun, ergonomik dan reka bentuk Super Meteor 650 ini mirip dengan Meteor 350.

Bagi pasaran global, Super Meteor 650 ini tampil dengan dua varian; Standard dan Tourer namun belum dipastikan sama ada kedua-dua varian ini akan dipasarkan di sini.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Breaks Cover At EICMA

The waiting game has come to an end as Royal Enfield finally rolls out the Super Meteor 650 at the EICMA show in Milan.

Royal Enfield adds the Super Meteor 650 to its 650cc family.
The Super Meteor features an all-new frame and revised suspension setup.

The Super Meteor 650 is the third motorcycle to feature Royal Enfield’s 650cc parallel-twin engine after the Continental GT and Interceptor.

However, this is not simply an engine swap from the smaller Meteor 350 or a different aesthetic from the existing 650 Twin. Instead, the Super Meteor 650 gets a newly built frame, revised suspension geometry, redesigned fuel tank, new side panels and a new swingarm.

Also, the Super Meteor 650 is the first 650cc model from Royal Enfield to be equipped with full-LED lighting. In addition, the Super Meteor is also the first Royal Enfield to be fitted with upside-down forks.

Nonetheless, the motorcycle continues to offer conventional cruiser-style riding ergonomics similar to the 350.

Meanwhile, instrumentation comes from a digital-analogue display with tripper navigation.

According to Royal Enfield, the Super Meteor 650 will be available in two trims; Standard and Tourer, with the latter is fitted with a range of accessories, including saddlebags, a tall windscreen, an engine guard and a pillion backrest.
