OFFICIAL: Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Now In Malaysia – From RM22,000

The all-new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 which was introduced globally back in August 2022 has officially make its way to Malaysia.

Available in two trims, Metro Rebel and Metro Dapper.

Available in two variants, the Metro Rebel and Metro Dapper – with the only difference between the two models is the colour scheme – is priced at RM22,200 and RM22,000 respectively.

Powering the Hunter 350 is the same 349cc single-cylinder J-series engine found in the Meteor and Classic. The engine pumps out 20.2hp @ 6,100rpm and 27Nm @ 4,00rpm, with Royal Enfield claiming a max speed of 114km/h. Meanwhile, power is delivered to the rear wheel via a five-speed manualtransmission and chain final drive.

While the Indian market gets 17-inch wired spoked (non-tubeless) and alloy wheels, only the latter is available for the Malaysian market due to the former is fitted with drum brake which does not meet the local homologation.

That said, Malaysian gets the 17-inch alloy wheels with 110/70 at the front and 140/70 tubeless tyre at the rear. The Hunter 350 is also fitted with hydraulic disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.

The introduction of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 officially completes the brand’s 350 range in Malaysia alongside the Classic 350 and Meteor 350.

Royal Enfield bakal memperkembangkan tawaran model di pasaran Malaysia menerusi model terbaru, Royal Enfield Hunter 350 pada 9 Mac ini.

Pengumuman pelancaran model itu dibuat sewaktu perasmian pembukaan pusat pameran Royal Enfield terbaru di Pulau Pinang.

Untuk rekod, Royal Enfield Hunter 350 diperkenalkan pada pasaran global pada Ogos tahun lalu, menyertai Classic 350 dan Meteor 350.

Seperti model 350 sebelum ini, Hunter 350 turut dikuasakan enjin satu silinder 349cc yang menghasilkan 20.2hp pada 6,100rpm dan 27Nm pada 4,000rpm. Kuasa tersebut disalurkan kepada tayar belakang dengan transmisi 5-kelajuan.

Royal Enfield mendakwa enjin J-series 349cc itu berupaya mencapai kelajuan maksima 114km/j sekaligus memberi bayangan Hunter 350 ini lebih sesuai untuk tunggangan santai.

Tampil dengan rekaan scrambler retro, Hunter 350 ini secara tidak langsung bakal memberi cabaran pada Honda H’ness CB350.

Hunter 350 Metro juga didatangkan rim sistem brek ABS dwi-saluran manakala Retro Factory pula hanya dilengkapi sistem ABS saluran tunggal dan dipadankan bersama cakera brek (tunggal) depan dan brek drum di bahagian belakang.

Royal Enfield recently recorded a staggering 145 per cent worldwide sales increase in September 2022 compared to the same period last year.

Royal Enfield sold more than 80,000 motorcycles in September 2022.
India remain as the biggest market for Royal Enfield.

That’s certainly a significant boost to the Indian motorcycle company, especially as we are nearing the end of the year.

However, if you ever wonder what could be the major contributor behind those high numbers, look no further ahead than the company’s Hunter 350.

According to the firm’s sales report, Royal Enfield sold 18,197 units of the Hunter 350 in August and 17,118 units the following month in September.

To put it in perspective, the Hunter 350 outsold Honda’s H’ness 350 by a considerable margin, with the latter recording just 3,980 units in September.

Despite the H’ness 350 being launched in India some time ago, the Hunter 350 garnered higher demand in a shorter period.

Several factors are in play, including how the Hunter 350 is priced lower than the H’ness 350. Also, since the H’ness 350 are only available in India and Japan, it is to be expected that the numbers will be lower.

Nonetheless, it also indicates an upward trend for Royal Enfield’s bike in the global market, especially for the Hunter 350.
