Toby Price Wins Dakar Rally 2019 with Broken Wrist

Toby Price wins the Dakar Rally 2019 with a broken wrist.
It was his second Dakar win since 2016.
KTM has won at the rally 18^thtimes in a row.

Speaking of broken wrists, Australian Toby Price won the Dakar Rally 2019 despite riding with that injury.

Price came into the 10^thand final stage of the rally with a slender one-minute lead over Chilean Pablo Quintanilla. They had covered almost 5,200 kilometres up to that point.

However, Quintanilla crashed after a mere 10 kilometres into the 112-kilometre stage from Pisco to Lima. He injured his foot which cost him 19 minutes, dropping him to fourth overall. Quintanilla’s misfortune let Price romp home to win the stage win and the overall lead.

Price’s feat was heroic as he rode with a broken scaphoid. He had broken the bone a few weeks prior to the Dakar’s flag-off.

The Red Bull KTM factory rider had thought about just racing for two stages before pulling out. But he kept going as his team provided impeccable support in addition to some luck.

“Pretty much all I can say is that it feels like there are about five people driving a knife in my wrist now,” Price said. He had spent 10 agonising days of being jolted and bumped across the dunes and desert.

“It’s not very comfortable, it’s not very enjoyable. Now I’ll just wait and see what damage I’ve done to my wrist.”

It was Price’s second Dakar win since 2016, and KTM’s 18^thsuccessive victory.

MotoGP: Miguel Oliveira signs with Tech 3 for 2019

Miguel Oliveira will graduate to MotoGP in 2019 after signing a new deal with the Tech 3 squad.

The 23-year-old Portuguese racer will be the first rider that will go through the entire Red Bull KTM system.

From Red Bull Rookies Cup all the way up to MotoGP, Oliveira has been a rising star which has given KTM a good number of wins in his career.

Current Moto2 championship contender Miguel Oliveira will be heading up to the premier MotoGP class in 2019. This was confirmed in Jerez last weekend when he signed a deal with the Tech 3 squad. Oliveira will also be the first rider to go through the entire Red Bull KTM system all the way up to MotoGP. (more…)

MotoGP: Johann Zarco CONFIRMS move to KTM!

Johann Zarco has finally announced that he’ll be joining the KTM factory racing team for the 2019 and 2020 MotoGP seasons.

The French rider will be paired with Pol Espargaro who has also renewed a two-year contract with KTM.

KTM is confident that Zarco will be able to put the KTM RC16 onto the podium.

MOTOGP: Johann Zarco to KTM factory team in 2019?

It seems that MotoGP rider Johann Zarco is set to make his move to the KTM factory team in 2019.

The latest rumour has indicated that the Frenchman has reached a ‘verbal agreement’ with the Austrian manufacturer.

If this is true, Zarco will be a KTM factory rider and will ride their latest KTM RC16 MotoGP bike in 2019 and 2020.

A recent report made by Motorsport.com has stated that current Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider Johann Zarco is ready to make his move to KTM next season. The French rider has long been associated with the Austrian manufacturer even since his current team confirmed their move to KTM machinery next season. (more…)

MotoGP: KTM Mengesahkan Bradley Smith dan Pol Espargaro Sebagai Penunggang Mereka Bagi Musim 2018

Pasukan Red Bull KTM Factory Racing telah mengesahkan yang kedua-dua penunggang semasa mereka, Bradley Smith dan Pol Espargaro, akan terus menunggang bagi pasukan itu untuk siri MotoGP musim 2018.
Kedua-dua penunggang berkenaan beserta dengan penunggang uji mereka, Mika Kallio, akan meneruskan usaha mereka membangunkan jentera perlumbaan mereka, KTM RC16 MotoGP, untuk lebih berdaya saing bagi musim hadapan.
Keputusan terbaik yang telah mereka kecapi buat setakat ini adalah ketika Mika Kallio yang menunggang sebagai ‘wildcard entry” di pusingan GP Austria, di mana dia menamatkan perlumbaannya di kedudukan sepuluh teratas.

MotoGP: KTM confirms both Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaro for 2018

The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team has confirmed that both their current riders Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaro will continue their MotoGP efforts in 2018.

Both riders including their test rider Mika Kallio will continue to develop their KTM RC16 MotoGP machinery to be more competitive come next season.

The best result that they had so far was with Mika Kallio as a wildcard entry during the Austrian GP where he finished in the top ten.

KTM has released a press release regarding the future of their current MotoGP riders Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaro. They have confirmed that both riders will continue their MotoGP efforts with the Austrian factory squad for another season in 2018. (more…)

MotoGP: Repsol Honda Raih Kemenangan Satu-Dua Di Aragon; Lorenzo Di Tempat Ke-tiga

Pusingan ke-14 MotoGP yang diadakan di Aragon semalam telah menyaksikan kemenangan satu-dua oleh penunggang pasukan Repsol Honda, Marc Marquez dan Dani Pedrosa.
Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) telah menunjukkan peningkatan yang hebat dengan menamatkan perlumbaan di tempat ke-tiga setelah mendahului secara majoriti ketika masa perlumbaan itu di atas jentera Ducati Desmosedici GP17-nya.
Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) berlumba dengan hebat sekali dan melintasi garisan penamat di P5 di belakang teman sepasukannya Maverick Vinales meskipun dia baru sahaja pulih dari kecederaan keretakan kaki yang dialaminya hanya 25 hari yang lalu.

MotoGP: Repsol Honda One-Two in Aragon; Lorenzo Third

The 14^th MotoGP round held in Aragon yesterday saw a one-two finish by the Repsol Honda boys, Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa

Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) showed tremendous progress finishing in third after leading the majority of the race on board his Ducati Desmosedici GP17.

Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) raced brilliantly and finished in P5 behind team mate Maverick Vinales despite a broken leg just 25 days ago.

It was a momentous MotoGP round at the 14^th MotoGP round that is the Gran Premiro Movistar de Aragon where Repsol Honda duo Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa scored a one-two victory in front of their home crowd. Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) completed the all-Spaniard podium with an outstanding classic Lorenzo-styled riding on board the now comfortable Ducati Desmosedici GP17. (more…)

Ingin Berlumba Dalam MotoGP Untuk Pasukan Avintia Reale Ducati? Sediakan RM5 Juta!

Tempat bagi MotoGP 2018 di pasukan Avintia Reale Ducati masih lagi tidak diisi memandangkan mereka masih belum mengesahkan sebarang penunggang buat masa ini.
Penunggang semasa mereka, Loris Baz dan juga Hector Barbera dikatakan tidak akan meneruskan usaha perlumbaan mereka bersama dengan pusukan Avintia Ducati itu untuk musim hadapan.
Desas-desus mengatakan Tito Rabat akan membawa masuk tajaan persendirinnya berjumlah sekitar €1 juta (kira-kira RM5 juta) bagi mendapatkan tempat dalam pasukan Ducati MotoGP 2018 itu.

Want to race in MotoGP for the Avintia Reale Ducati team? Only RM5 million!

The 2018 MotoGP seats for the Avintia Reale Ducati team are still up for grabs considering that they’ve not confirm any riders yet.

Current riders Loris Baz and Hector Barbera are said not to be continuing their race efforts with the Avintia Ducati outfit for next year.

Rumours points towards Tito Rabat who is said will bring in his own personal sponsorship of around €1 million (around RM 5 million) to get into the 2018 MotoGP Ducati hot seat.

We all know that all the MotoGP seats for 2018 are fast getting filled in with more riders being announced as of late. The latest would be the controversial signing of Scott Redding to race with the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini outfit in replacement of the outgoing Sam Lowes. (more…)

MotoGP: Dovizioso conquers Austria; Marquez & Pedrosa podium

The Austrian MotoGP round of 2017 saw a tremendous battle between race winner Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) and championship leader, Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda).

After overtaking Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) who led the first half of the race, the duo battled continuously up until the very last corner of the very last lap.

Fellow Repsol Honda rider, Dani Pedrosa completed the podium spot with a third place finish.

The 11^th round of the MotoGP 2017 held at the iconic Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria was indeed a great addition into the history books as one of the most captivating races of all time. (more…)

MotoGP: Viñales Terajui Barisan Hadapan Semua Yamaha Pada French GP Hari Ini

Sesi kelayakan MotoGP semalam menyaksikan barisan hadapan dipenuhi Yamaha dimana Maverick Viñales dan Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) akan bermula di hadapan hari ini.
Mereka akan memulakan perlumbaan hari ini bersama dengan harapan para peminat Perancis, anak watan mereka iaitu Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) yang melalui Q1 dan Q2 dengan penuh sensasi di hadapan penyokong tuan rumah.
