Honda has introduced the new CBR250RR SP in Indonesia, packed with advanced features and upgrades that promise to enhance the sportbike’s performance and style.

  • The 2023 Honda CBR250RR SP now features higher compression ratio and a power bump.
  • The quarter-litre sportsbike is fitted with Showa’s BPF front forks and a quickshifter as standard.

The new version of the popular model, boasts an improved compression ratio of 12.5:1, which translates to a power increase to 42 horsepower at 13,000 rpm a slight increase from 40hp previously.

The CBR250RR SP’s engine is now equipped with a quickshifter, a feature that has never been seen before in small-displacement sportbikes.

The bike also boasts updated suspension components, featuring a Showa BPF front fork, similar to what’s found on bigger bikes like the CBR500R and CBR650R. Despite the CBR250RR’s smaller size and weight of just 170 kilograms, it features a single rotor up front and at the rear with dual-channel ABS.

The CBR250RR SP is equipped with a fully digital display, LED lights at the front and back, and a throttle-by-wire system that offers multiple riding modes.

Small-displacement sportbikes may not be the most exciting motorcycles on the market, but the CBR250RR SP’s advanced features and performance upgrades make it a compelling option for those seeking a thrilling ride on the track or a tight twisty road.

The Asian market is no stranger to sportbikes, and Honda’s latest offering is sure to turn heads with its impressive features and sleek design.

PT Astra Honda Motor has officially unveiled the 2022 Honda ADV 160.

  • gained bigger 160cc displacement that puts out 16hp and 14.7Nm.
  • features ABS and Honda Selectable Torque Control (traction control) as standard.

The most significant upgrade done to the 2022 compact ‘adventure’ scooter is a bigger 156.9cc 4-valve with eSP engine that now makes 16hp and 14.7Nm replacing the outgoing 149.3cc single-cylinder platform.

Other significant changes include the addition of Honda Selectable Torque Control (traction control), which helps to improve rider’s handling while ABS remains standard. However, these two features are only available for the ABS variant, while the base model gets CBS (combine braking system).

According to reports in Indonesia, the ABS variant is priced at INR39.25mil (RM11.5k), while the standard unit is available for INR36mil (RM10.6k).

Although Honda claimed the 2022 ADV 160 gets a bolder look, the overall bodywork remains the same but with slight changes made to the dashboard.

The signal and high beam indicator, which previously appeared on a separate display, are now integrated with the digital instrument cluster.

The 2022 ADV 160 are available in both Dynamic Red and Dynamic Black for the CBS variant, while the top of the range ABS variant gets Tough Matte Red, Tough Matte Black and Tough Matte White colourway.

The latest teaser from PT Astra Honda Motor has confirmed that a new Honda ADV 160 is set to roll out in Indonesia.

  • The new ADV 160 will get a bigger powertrain than the previous generation.
  • The ADV 160 will feature revised bodywork and features.

Rumours about a new generation ADV 160 have been around since the introduction of the PCX 160, Vario 160 and the recently launched Air Blade 160.

However, the latest teaser by Honda distributor in Indonesia, PT Astra Honda Motor, via its official Instagram account has confirmed that the ADV 160 is on its way.

While the teaser was faintly visible, the motorcycle silhouette is similar to the ADV 150 but with a slight change in the bodywork.

Nevertheless, the new ADV 160 will feature the same 156.9cc eSP+ engine found in the PCX 160 that makes 15hp @ 8,500rpm and 13.8Nm @ 7,000rpm, a bump from the previous 14.5hp and 13.9Nm.

Meanwhile, the upcoming ADV 160 will also feature several upgrades in terms of design and mechanics.

PT Astra Honda Motor has just unveiled the 2022 Honda CB150X at the 2021 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).

The Honda CB150X is the smallest adventure tourer by the Japanese brand and shared most of its design cue from the CB200X launched in India a few months ago.

While the CB200X shares the same platform as the Hornet 2.0, the 2022 CB150X gets its 149cc powertrain from the Honda CB150R, which makes 16.5hp @ 9,000rpma and 13.8Nm @ 7,000rpm.

Nonetheless, the CB150X features ‘adventure’ bike elements such as middle-set footpegs, upright handlebar, tall windscreen, muscular fuel tank design and bash plate.

Despite missing out on Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and other electronic features, the CB150X still gets a full LED setup, 17″ alloy wheels, an all-digital display and Showa 37mm inverted forks at the front and monoshock at the rear.

  • lampu LED penuh
  • bash plate
  • panel meter digital
  • fork depan USD Showa 37mm
  • suspensi tunggal belakang pro-link

PT Astra Honda Motor or Honda Motor Indonesia has taken the covers off its latest 2021 Honda CBR150R for their local market yesterday evening. Marketed as the new baby brother of the Honda CBR250RR, this 150cc sports bike comes with a number of big-bike parts with a reasonable price tag. (more…)

– Motoblast
