Moto3 Petronas Sprinta Racing national rider, Khairul Idham Pawi, was set to fly off to Jerez, Spain earlier this week to begin preparations for the upcoming MotoGP round this month. It seems that some folks think that Yamaha’s MotoGP test rider, Jorge Lorenzo, had ulterior motives when he quickly signed a test ride contract with Yamaha soon after retiring from racing. Although he made it clear that it was his time to quit racing after a fruitless time with Repsol Honda, his move back to Yamaha seemed to have brought a lot of theories, including Yamaha Racing’s managing director, Lin Jarvis. The 2020 MotoGP calendar was recently announced with 13 confirmed races around Europe and the Petronas Yamaha SRT squad is eager to get some racing action happening in 2020. Finally, some good news from MotoGP. The revised 2020 calendar has just been released with a total of 13 confirmed races in Europe where racing will commence on 19 July 2020 in Jerez, Spain. These 13 rounds will be covered within eight different tracks where some locations will host back-to-back race weekends, particularly Jerez, Red Bull Ring, Misano, Aragon, and Valencia. (more…)

FIM, IRTA, and Dorna Sports have officially announced the Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley round at the legendary Mugello circuit has been pulled out from the 2020 race calendar due to the rising concerns of COVID-19 in the country. The latest round of the virtual MotoGP race took place last night and in the presence of the only representative of Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, Jorge Lorenzo. The world of MotoGP has been asking whether the great Valentino Rossi will continue his racing career after the Yamaha factory squad effectively replaced him with the young and upcoming Fabio Quartararo.
