  • Andrea Iannone will be leaving Team Suzuki Ecstar at the end of the MotoGP 2018 season.

MotoGP rider Andrea Iannone has confirmed that he’ll be leaving the Suzuki factory team (Team Suzuki Ecstar) at the end of the season. Rumours of a possible Petronas Yamaha MotoGP team in 2019 have been circulating very recently.

This new Yamaha satellite team is said to contract Hafizh Syahrin together with Jorge Lorenzo.

This new team will help MotoGP to solve a few issues they are currently facing at the moment.

Multiple WorldSBK world champion Jonathan Rea is currently in talks to join MotoGP in 2019.

Several factory teams have extended their offers towards the 31-year-old rider.

Rea is also in talks with his current Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK as his contract ends at the end of the season.

Andrea Dovizioso has confirmed his seat with the Ducati MotoGP squad for 2019 and 2020.

The deal between the two parties was confirmed last night ahead of the HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France.

The future of Jorge Lorenzo is still uncertain at the moment.

Aleix Espargaro has confirmed his stay with the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini for the next two seasons.

A new two-year contract has been signed which means that the Spaniard will pilot the Aprilia RS-GP until the end of 2020.

No news about Aprilia’s second rider just yet.

Just before things kick off at the 2018 HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France, Aleix Espargaro has confirmed his contract extension with the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini squad for another two seasons. After 42 years of absence from MotoGP, MV Agusta confirms their return to the championship in 2019.

A four-year deal has been signed with the Forward Racing team which will see them competing in Moto2.

The new bike will start its testing phase in July together with the new 765cc inline-three engine from Triumph.

It’s been a while since we last saw or heard the name MV Agusta being mentioned in the MotoGP universe. After over 40 years of absence, the premium Italian bike manufacturer has confirmed their return to the Grand Prix scene next season. (more…)

Johann Zarco has finally announced that he’ll be joining the KTM factory racing team for the 2019 and 2020 MotoGP seasons.

The French rider will be paired with Pol Espargaro who has also renewed a two-year contract with KTM.

KTM is confident that Zarco will be able to put the KTM RC16 onto the podium.

There’s a possibility that Sepang International Circuit (SIC) will run the first-ever Malaysian MotoGP team in 2019.

Rumours have indicated that the folks from SIC are heading to Jerez this weekend to work something out with MotoGP and Yamaha.

SIC might partner up with one of the existing private teams with hopes that they can bring in Hafizh, Yamaha, and some funds along with the deal.

Marc VDS is currently caught in choosing between Yamaha and Suzuki as the main machinery for their 2019 MotoGP season.

The move has been sparked by Tech 3 who has confirmed their switch to KTM next season.

Both Yamaha and Suzuki are looking into running satellite teams to speed up their bikes’ development.

It seems that MotoGP rider Johann Zarco is set to make his move to the KTM factory team in 2019.

The latest rumour has indicated that the Frenchman has reached a ‘verbal agreement’ with the Austrian manufacturer.

If this is true, Zarco will be a KTM factory rider and will ride their latest KTM RC16 MotoGP bike in 2019 and 2020.

A recent report made by Motorsport.com has stated that current Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider Johann Zarco is ready to make his move to KTM next season. MotoGP gossip is already burning hot with Suzuki indicating their interest towards Jorge Lorenzo for 2019.

With their patience running out with Andrea Iannone, the hunt for the perfect rider for the Suzuki GSX-RR is already underway.

Lorenzo is currently struggling to ride the Ducati Desmosedici GP18 having collected only one point in the first two opening races.

The Qatar round saw a very interesting race as well as rumours indicating that Johann Zarco might move to Repsol Honda next year.

The Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider took pole position and led the majority of the race before dropping to 8th due to tyre issues.

Rumours have indicated that Zarco might be replacing Pedrosa come 2019.

Ever since the very first MotoGP 2018 round which saw Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team) winning the Qatar GP with a very familiar and stylish fashion against Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda), there have been other interesting happenings going around the paddock.
