The Modenas Dominar “Explore the Unexplored” Ride reaches its grand finale next weekend. To end the epic program on a high note, Modenas has something grand in store for the participants.
For this edition, the ride will begin in the early morning of 13th July 2019 from Juru Auto City, Perai then head to Cameron Highlands for some cooling air. The convoy will then head down towards Bentong via the beautiful Cameron Highlands – Sungai Koyan road. The ride will finally end at the Rimba Valley Motorcamp site in Janda Baik where the participants will camp beside a crystal-clear stream and beneath the stars.
The Rimba Valley Motorcamp is also the site of the Rimba Raid event a week later.
Refreshments, food and lodging costs are provided by Modenas, while riders pay for fuel only.
The “Explore the Unexplored” initiative began not long after the Modenas Dominar D400 was launched in Malaysia. As the name suggests, it isn’t merely a single model ride to exotic places around Peninsular Malaysia. It also allows riders who ride there to share the locations with international Dominar 400 riders, as well.
As for the Malaysian Dominar owners, there is a contest for the best picture captured. Also, participants get to participate in fun and games at the destinations and win attractive prizes.

Pengembaraan Modenas “Explore the Unexplored” Ride kini telah sampai ke penghujungnya minggu depan dan bagi mengakhiri program epik ini, Modenas telah menyediakan program yang istimewa bagi para peserta.
Bagi edisi kali ini, pengembaraan akan bermula pada pagi 13 Julai 2019 daripada Juru Auto City, Perai dan akan menuju ke Cameron Highlands untuk menikmati cuaca dingin.
Konvoi kemudiannya akan turun ke Bentong menerusi jalan Cameron Highlands – Sungai Koyan sebelum menuju ke destinasi terakhir yang terletak di Rimba Valley Motocamp di mana peserta akan berkhemah di tepi sungai yang jernih sambil ditemani bintang-bintang di langit pada waktu malam.
Rimba Valley Motocamp turut merupakan tuan rumah kepada Rimba Raid yang akan berlangsung seminggu kemudian.
Peserta hanya perlu menanggung kos minyak motosikal masing-masing sementara segala makanan, minuman serta tempat penginapan akan disediakan pihak Modenas, jadi usah risau!
Inisiatif “Explore the Unexplored” bermula selepas Modenas Dominar D400 dilancarkan di Malaysia. Seperti namanya, ia membuka peluang kepada pemilik Dominar bukan sahaja untuk menjelajah seluruh Malaysia dengan jentera kesayangan mereka malah berkongsikan pengalaman dengan pemilik Dominar D400 di seluruh dunia!
Bukan itu sahaja, peserta turut berpeluang untuk memenangi pelbagai hadiah menarik menerusi pertandingan gambar terbaik bersama jentera Dominar masing-masing.

The second Modenas Dominar D400 “Explore the Unexplored” ride was held over the Malaysia Day weekend (17th September 2018) after the successful first edition on 19th August 2018.
While the first ride was from Modenas’ HQ at Glenmarie, Shah Alam, Selangor to Ipoh, Perak, this second ride covered the route from Juru Autocity, Penang to the Belum Rainforest Resort, Perak.
As with all the “Explore the Unexplored” rides, the activity caters exclusively to Modenas D400 owners, as the motorcycle is branded as a sport-tourer. The power and torque of the 373cc liquid-cooled engine and ergonomics allow the bike to be ridden far and wide.
These rides are also apart of Modenas/Bajaj Auto’s #motography project where pictures of interesting attractions are shared by Dominar D400 owners globally, thus forming a travelogue for owners to visit these very sites should they want to ride in other countries. Malaysian owners are to submit their photos under the #motographymalaysia hashtag.
The second ride began with rider registration and breakfast from 6.30am at the Restoran Nasi Kandar Pelita at Juru Autocity. It was a bigger group this time around, consisting of 25 participants. Modenas had informed us that these riders from the northern states of Peninsular Malaysia were really excited to take part.
A briefing was held by the Chief Marshal on the route, activities, potential hazards and group riding etiquette. Modenas provided technical personnel and two four-wheel wheeled vehicles as support.
The convoy began afterwards at 7.30am and headed to the historic city of Taiping. The convoy travelled in smart formation on the PLUS Highway, adhering to the speed limits and careful not to hamper traffic.
The group proceeded straight to the Taiping Lake Gardens for the first #motographymalaysia stop. The owners were allowed to explored sites around the Lake Gardens to shoot their best photos of their Dominar D400s.
Soon after, the participants rode to Kuala Kangsar, passing Grik and stopped at the Belum Rainforest Resort for lunch, the second #motographymalaysia stop in addition to some fun and games.
As first with the first stop at Taiping, the riders went out to shoot photographs after lunch. They returned to the game of the slowest rider and throwing and catching a water balloon.
The group dispersed from Grik as they had different plans.
