RASMI: Razlan Umum Miguel Oliveira, Raul Fernandez Pelumba Rasmi RNF Aprilia

RNF Racing akan memulakan aksi sulung selaku pasukan satelit Aprilia bagi musim 2023 di Kejuaraan Dunia MotoGP dengan gandingan Miguel Oliveira dan Raul Fernandez.

RNF dalam satu kenyataan mengesahkan barisan pelumba bagi musim 2023 dengan menamakan Oliveira dan Fernandez sebagai pilihan utama.

Menariknya, kedua-dua pelumba akan bersama-sama RNF Aprilia bagi musim 2023 hingga 2024 setelah mengikat kontrak dua tahun.

Prinsipal pasukan, Razlan Razali, turut berkongsi keterujaan selepas berjaya memikat kedua bakat muda itu.

“Kami sangat teruja untuk mengucapkan selamat datang kepada Miguel Oliveira dan Raul Fernandez kepada pasukan WithU RNF MotoGP Team bermula musim 2023.

“Proses ini bukan mudah tetapi bersama Aprilia kami amat jelas dengan pilihan kami.

“Kedua-duanya adalah pelumba muda yang mempunyai pengalaman terutamanya dari Miguel (Oliveira) dan Raul yang saya sendiri merupakan peminat besarnya sejak dari Moto2 lagi.

“Sangat mengujakan kerana kami akhirnya berjaya mendapat khidmatnya,” jelas Razlan.

Kedua-dua pelumba tersebut telah pun dikaitkan dengan perpindahan ke RNF Aprilia sebelum ini.

Prinsipal pasukan, Datuk Razlan Razali turut tidak berselindung dengan menyatakan Fernandez kekal menjadi pilihan utamanya sebelum ini.

Sementara itu, dengan pengesahan Oliveira, ini bermakna pelumba Tech3 KTM ketika ini, Remy Gardner, berpeluang besar untuk ke Tech3 GASGAS bagi digandingkan bersama Pol Espargaro.

Gardner sebelum ini menyatakan kebimbangan terhadap senario semasa di KTM dengan pasukan itu berharap Oliveira kekal agar dapat sertai GASGAS.

MotoGP: Remy Gardner To Lose Tech3 GASGAS Seat?

Remy Gardner was on the verge of teaming up with Pol Espargaro at the newly launched Tec3 GASGAS MotoGP team for the 2023 season.

The former Moto2 world champion is yet to confirm his seat for 2023.

However, KTM looks set to dump the Australian rider amid talks that Team Orange is closing on a deal to retain Miguel Oliveira.

On Friday, Gardner told Crash.net that he was surprised by KTM Director Pit Beirer’s comment on Oliveira’s future, saying that ‘there is also still a chance to keep our friend Miguel (Oliveira) inside the family’. Hinting the GASGAS seat for 2023.

“No, it’s not [looking great for next year],” Crash.net reports.

“In MotoGP, it doesn’t look like there’s anything… KTM’s done it again!” said Gardner.

That said, Oliveira could be named as Espargaro’s teammate at GASGAS, while Gardner and his current teammate, Raul Fernandez, could face the axe at the end of the season.

While Fernandez’s move to RNF Aprilia MotoGP team is almost sure to happen – with an official announcement to be made at Misano – Gardner’s future is still in doubt.

Nevertheless, if KTM does pursue Oliveira’s signature in what could be a surprise u-turn, RNF Aprilia might be interested in offering both Fernandez and Gardner for the 2023 seat.

Moreover, Razlan’s already confirmed that the two slots will be given to current premier class riders, with Fernandez remained the top of his wish list for 2023.

That said, if Oliveira turned down KTM’s approach – as the Portuguese is also heavily linked with RNF – Gardner’s spot at GASGAS is still not safe with speculation also linking its Moto2 title contender Augusto Fernandez.

MotoGP: Miguel Oliveira Sertai Razlan Razali Di Aprilia, Alex Rins Ke LCR Honda?

Pelumba MotoGP, Miguel Oliveira dan Alex Rins dilaporkan sudah pun mengesahkan pasukan baharu bagi musim 2023.

Menurut laporan Sky Italia, Oliveira akan meninggalkan KTM hujung musim ini dan berhijrah ke pasukan satelit baharu Aprilia kendalian Razlan Razali.

Perpindah anOliveira sudah pun dijangka apatah lagi pasukan Red Bull KTM mengumumkan telah menandatangani Jack Miller dari Ducati untuk dua musim.

KTM juga menawarkan peluang untuk Oliveira turun ke pasukan Tech3 namun senario itu tidak dipersetujui pelumba Portugal itu yang mahu kekal dengan mesin factory.

Sky Italia turut melaporkan bahawa RNF Racing telah mengikat Oliveira dengan kontrak dua tahun.

“Miguel Oliveria telah menandatangani kontrak dua tahun bersama Aprilia untuk beraksi bersama pasukan satelit RNF Racing kendalian Razlan Razali,” jelas laporan tersebut.

Difahamkan, Oliveira hampir berpindah ke Gresini namun tiada bentuk persetujuan formal dicapai sebelum pelumba itu buat keputusan sertai Aprilia.

Sementara itu, pelumba Suzuki, Alex Rins dilaporkan akan sertai LCR Honda.

Ini kerana dengan khabar angin kuat mengatakan rakan sepasukan, Joan Mir akan sertai Repsol Honda, pasukan Jepun itu didakwa turut memancing Rins untuk LCR Honda.

Pada masa sama, kegagalan mendapatkan khidmat Oliveira memaksa Gresini untuk mencari calon lain dengan Enea Bastianini dilaporkan akan berpindah ke pasukan factory Ducati atau Pramac Racing.

MotoGP: Miguel Oliveira Dominates Wet Race At Mandalika

KTM’s Miguel Oliveira produced a sensational display on a soaking wet surface to win the 2022 Indonesia GP at Mandalika.

Despite starting at seventh place, the Portuguese rider wasted no time to overtake early leaders Fabio Quartararo and Ducati’s Jack Miller.

Quartararo then dropped to 5th place behind Suzuki’s Alex Rins before climbing up the pack to second and threatening to catch Oliveira.

However, Oliveria managed to keep his calm and claimed his first victory of the season with a comfortable margin of 2.2s.

The win at Mandalika was Oliveira’s fourth MotoGP win and his first podium since Assen 2021.

Meanwhile, Pramac’s Johann Zarco completed the podium at third place. The Frenchman had a late scare when trying to keep his lane during Quartararo’s pursuit for third place, as his GP22 had a bit of a slip before gaining control.

On another note, rookie Darryn Binder claimed a Top 10 finished at 10th place despite starting the race in 23rd place on the grid.

The 24-year-old South African gave his all in the wet and even managed to pass his brother Brad (Binder) before the two swapped places in the final lap, which saw Brad go up to 8th and Darryn dropping down to 10th and securing his first points of the season nonetheless.

Pelumba Red Bull KTM, Miguel Oliveira merekodkan podium pertama musim ini selepas menjuarai GP Indonesia di Litar Mandalika.

Walaupun perlumbaan ditangguh sehingga jam 4.15 petang ekoran hujan lebat namun perlumbaan bermula dengan baik bagi kesemua pelumba.

Bagaimanapun, pengalaman di litar basah ternyata memberikan kelebihan besar buat Oliveira dan pelumba Ducati, Jack Miller yang mendahului kedudukan satu dua.

Namun, selepas mengekori Miller untuk beberapa lap, Oliviera seakan memiliki keyakinan dan cengkaman yang lebih baik untuk memintas dan terus mengekalkan kedudukan pendahulu sehingga garisan penamat.

Tempat kedua jadi milik pertahan juara dunia, Fabio Quatararo yang meskipun pada suatu ketika berada di kedudukan kelima berjaya memintas Alex Rins (Suzuki) dan Johann Zarco (Pramac) untuk mengesahkan kedudukan.

Zarco juga kembali ke podium selepas kali terakhir di Litar Catalunya musim lalu untuk melengkapkan podium di tempat ketiga.

Sementara itu, pelumba ‘rookie’ dari RNF Racing, Darryn Binder, boleh berasa bangga kerana berjaya menamatkan aksi di kedudukan ke-10.

The couple announced the good news via Oliveira’s Instagram account, which was flooded with congratulatory messages by friends and families, including Hafizh Syahrin, his former teammate at Tech3 KTM.

Oliveira kept the relationship a secret for 11 years before deciding to marry the daughter of his dad’s second wife, Andreia Pimenta, last month.

The factory KTM rider will return in action next weekend at Silverstone to repeat this season’s success of winning the Catalan GP in June.

He now lies 8th place after 11 rounds, 96pts behind current championship leader Fabio Quartararo with 181pts.

MotoGP: Oliveira Wins It In Catalunya, Quartararo Hit With 6-Second Penalty

Current MotoGP championship leader Fabio Quartararo has been hit with a total of 6-second penalty at the GP Catalunya.

The race saw Miguel Oliveira took his first win of the season after a fierce battle against Quartararo before Johann Zarco overtook his fellow Frenchman to finished second.

Quartararo had to settle for third place before Race Direction slapped a 3-second penalty due to a ‘shortcut at Turn 1-2’, thus seeing him losing his place to Ducati’s Jack Miller.

However, after further investigation, Quartararo was hit with another 3-second penalty, this time for finishing the last 3-laps with an open racing suit while also caught throwing away his chest protectors.

The initial penalty dropped the factory Yamaha ride to 4th place while the new penalty demotes the Frenchman to 6th in classification.

The situation now reduces his title lead from 17 to 14 points ahead of Zarco.

Miguel Oliviera, merekodkan kejutan di GP Styria apabila muncul pemenang meskipun berada di tempat ketiga ketika memasuki selekoh terakhir.

Litar Red Bull Ring sekali lagi mengundang pelbagai drama selepas kemalangan ngeri yang berlaku minggu lalu.

Suzuki pada awalnya mendahului perlumbaan menerusi Joan Mir namun segalanya berubah apabila bendera merah dikibarkan susulan kemalangan menimpa pelumba Monster Energy Yamaha, Maverick Vinales ketika perlumbaan berbaki 13 lap.

Difahamkan, Vinales berdepan masalah brek yang memaksa pelumba itu untuk meninggalkan jenteranya di Turn 1 pada kelajuan sekitar 215km/j.

Mir yang mempamerkan tunggangan mantap hilang kedudukan selaku pendahulu perlumbaan apabila ketinggalan sebaik aksi dimulakan semula yang menyaksikan Jack Miller (Pramac Ducati) menjadi pendahulu baharu.

Mir cuba bangkit namun keadaan tayar depan yang mula terjejas memberi kesan terhadap percubaan keduanya untuk kembali didepan tatkala Espargaro, Miller dan Oliviera kembali dengan set tayar baharu sebaik dimulakan semula.

Aksi kejar mengejar di antara Miller dan Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM) berterusan sehingga ke lap terakhir dengan Oliviera tenang di kedudukan ketiga.

Bagaimanapun, ketika menghampiri selekoh terakhir sebelum sampai ke garisan penamat, perebutan tempat pertama di antara Miller dan Espargaro mula sengit dan memaksa kedua-duanya tersasar daripada litar.

Senario itu membuka peluang buat Oliviera untuk memintas kedua-dua pelumba dan menamatkan perlumbaan sebagai pemenang dengan catatan masa 16 minit 56.025saat diikuti Miller kedua (+0.316s) dan Espargaro ketiga (+0.540).

Oliviera turut muncul selaku pelumba Portugal pertama yang berjaya merekodkan kemenangan di kelas premier dan turut memenangi sebuah BMW M4 serba baharu daripada BMW M atas kejayaannya kali ini!

Sementara itu, pendahulu kejuaraan kekal Fabio Quartararo (Petronas SRT) dengan 70 mata diekori rapat dengan Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati) dengan 70 mata dan Jack Miller ketiga dengan 56 mata.

Miguel Oliveira Survived 300 km/h Thanks to Shark Race-R Pro GP Helmet

Miguel Oliveira survived a horrific 300 km/h crash at Phillip Island.
A high gust of wind pushed him off the track.
One of the things that saved him was his Shark Race-R Pro GP helmet.

Red Bull KTM Tech 3 Racing rider Miguel Oliveira survived horror 300 km/h crash, thanks to his Shark Race-R Pro GP helmet.

The riders make it look easy on television, but they have to actually battle blustery winds up to approximately 30 km/h at the Phillip Island circuit. In fact, speeds as high as 63 km/h have been recorded.

Additionally, MotoGP bikes would hit more than 330 km/h at the end of the Gardner start/finish straight.

It was because of these conditions that Oliveira was pushed off the track by a strong crosswind at Turn One and onto the grass during the final FP4 practice at 300 km/h. He was then thrown onto the ground, smacking his head multiple times while tumbled on and on in the gravel pit.

The horrific accident not only caused the remainder of the session to be cancelled, but also prompted the riders to vote for the qualifying sessions to be moved to Sunday morning.

Thankfully, Oliveira survived the fall. He was however deemed unfit for the race due to bruised hands and lacerations all over his body, complicating the task of squeezing into his race suit. He did not suffer a concussion, thankfully.

Credit has to go his Shark Race-R Pro GP helmet. The FIM had pushed for a new set of testing regulations earlier this year and the helmet has since been certified. Do note that the certification seeks to bring the lifesaving technologies of race helmets to consumers.

Check out how the helmet looks after the crash. The shell and face shield looked totally bashed up but neither were compromised. It was a real testament to the high standards of set by Shark Helmets.

Hafizh Syahrin Akui Bimbang Dengan Masa Depan Bagi Musim 2020

Hafizh Syahrin mengakui mula rasa bimbang tentang perancangannya bagi musim 2020.

Pelumba negara itu kehilangan tempat di saingan MotoGP musim depan apabila KTM Tech3 membuat keputusan membawa masuk Brad Binder untuk digandingkan dengan Miguel Oliviera.

Senario itu memaksa Hafizh untuk turun beraksi di kelas Moto2 bagaimanapun, menurut laporan Crash.net dia mengakui mula rasa gusar tatkala rata-rata slot telah pun diisi.

“Belum lagi!,” jawab Hafizh apabila ditanyakan tentang perancangannya musim depan.

“Sukar untuk berkata apa-apa ketika ini. Saya juga berasa bimbang, tak tahu ke mana destinasi saya selepas ini.

“Kemungkinan saya akan kekal di MotoGP, tetapi kita tunggu dan lihat keputusan selepas perbincangan hujung mingg ini,”tambahnya.

Keputusan mengejut oleh Johann Zarco untuk meninggalkan KTM hujung minggu ini bermakna masih ada kekosongan di KTM.

Bagaimanapun, Hafizh mendedahkan masih tiada perbincangan untuk kekal di Tech3 meskipun Miguel Oliveira beralih ke KTM.
