WorldSBK reverse grid format NOT WORKING?

Some folks have been arguing that the latest WorldSBK reverse grid format has not been working out as well as they had hoped it would be.

The plan was to get the podium finishers of Race 1 to start in reverse order from the third row in hopes that they would other riders and teams a fighting chance was doomed from the beginning.

Almost 94% of the podium finishes so far has been filled by Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes from Kawasaki Racing Team together with Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri from Aruba.it Racing – Ducati.

According to a recent report made by MCN, the big guns over at WorldSBK are seriously contemplating on whether to scrap the reverse grid system which was introduced into the race series earlier this year. It seems that the format is not working out as well as they had hoped for. (more…)

Superbike Ducati V4 TIDAK AKAN BERLUMBA Sebelum 2019

Ianya telah disahkan bahawa motosikal superbike Ducati V4 tidak akan mengambil bahagian dalam sebarang perlumbaan sehingga permulaan musim 2019.
Ducati mempunyai rancangan untuk memperkenalkan motosikal ini kepada orang awam dahulu bagi tahun 2018 sebelum sebarang rancangan lanjut dan penyertaan dalam WorldSBK.
Walaupun tiada sebarang berita atau maklumat berkenaan spesifikasi motosikal itu, motosikal keluaran Ducati janaan V4 itu akan diperkenalkan pada penghujung tahun ini ketika pertunjukan EICMA di Milan, Itali.

Ducati V4 superbike WILL NOT RACE until 2019

It has been confirmed that the Ducati V4 superbike will not be going into races until the start of the 2019 season.

Ducati has plans to introduce the bike to the public first for 2018 before further plans and participation in the WorldSBK.

Although there’s no news or information regarding the bike’s specification, the V4-powered production Ducati bike will be introduced at the end of the year during the EICMA show in Milan, Italy.

Ducati has confirmed that their future plans to release their brand new V4-powered superbikes will probably go as planned but they won’t be racing them anytime soon, at least not until 2019. (more…)

Memperkenalkan Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition!

Akhirnya, motosikal Ducati Panigale 1299 R Final Edition telah pun dilancarkan di Pusingan Amerika Syarikat WorldSBK di litar lumba ikonik Laguna Seca.
Edisi terakhir ini digayakan dengan elegan sekali dalam kemasan ikonik ‘tricolore’ bendera Itali ini secara dasarnya adalah sebuah Superleggera yang dipermudahkan tetapi masih lagi menyengat dengan 209hp.
Berharga $40,000 (sekitar RM172,000), Panigale yang dijana V-berkembar yang terakhir sekali ini akan memberi laluan buat motosikal superbike Ducati janaan V-4 yang mana ia mungkin diperkenalkan pada penghujung tahun ini.

Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition unveiled!

Finally, the Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition has been launched at the WorldSBK US Round at the iconic Laguna Seca race track.

The final edition dressed elegantly in the iconic tricolore livery is essentially a watered down Superleggera but still packs a punch with 209hp.

Priced at $40,000 (around RM172,000), the last ever V-twin powered Panigale will give way to the next V-4 powered Ducati superbike which will hopefully be introduced at the end of this year.

Ducati has finally taken the covers of the highly awaited Ducati 1299 Panigale R Final Edition. As promised, the bike made its official debut at the WorldSBK US Geico Round at the legendary Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca which is happening this weekend. (more…)

WorldSBK: Chaz Davies Mengalami Keretakan Tulang Belakang Ketika Kemalangan Di Perlumbaan 1 Misano

Semasa perlumbaan pertama untuk Pusingan Pireli Riviera Di Rimini WorldSBK di Misano, perlumbaan penuh aksi itu ditamatkan dengan Tom Sykes, Alex Lowes, dan Jonathan Rea melintasi garisan penamat di tempat teratas.
Ketika pusingan terakhir, Chaz Davies, Jonathan Rea, dan Marco Melandri yang mendahului perlumbaan pada ketika itu sebelum Melandri terbabas pada pertengahan pusingan itu.
Davies mengalami nasib yang sama dengan Melandri dan REa yang mengekorinya dengan rapat tidak dapat mengelaknya dan menggilis penunggang British berusia 30 tahun itu dengan jentera Kawasaki ZX-10RRnya.

WorldSBK: Melandri Merangkul Kemenangan Ke-100 Penunggang Itali di Misano, Satu Lagi Podium Berganda Buat Kawasaki

Perlumbaan WorldSBK kedua di Misano menyaksikan kemenangan pertama perlumbaan yang menakjubkan buat Marco Melandri (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) sejak 2014 di hadapan penyokong tuan rumahnya.
Bermula di kedudukan kesepuluh, Melandri mempertingkatkan rentaknya dan melintasi garisan penamat di hadapan penunggang-penunggang Kawasaki, Jonathan Rea dan Tom Sykes.
Chaz Davies tidak dapat bertanding untuk Perlumbaan 2 akibat kecederaan yang dialaminya ketika insiden malang di Perlumbaan 1 antaranya dengan Rea semasa bersaing untuk merebut kemenangan.

WorldSBK: Tom Sykes Memenangi Perlumbaan 1 Yang Dramatik Di Misano

Perlumbaan pertama untuk Pusingan Pirelli Riviera Di Rimini WorldSBK yang diadakan di Litar Dunia Misano “Marco Simoncelli” menyaksikan Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) melintasi garisan penamat di tempat pertama pada pusingan terakhir yang dipenuhi drama.
Ketiga-tiga pendahulu perlumbaan yang terdiri daripada Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team), dan Marco Melandri terbabas pada pusingan terakhir perlumbaan berkenaan.
Alex Lowes (PATA Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) merangkul tempat kedua diikuti oleh Rea yang berjaya meraih kedudukan podium terakhir selepas pertembungan dengan Davies.

WorldSBK: Chaz Davies sustains ‘Fractured Vertebrae’ in Misano Race 1 Collision

During the first race of the WorldSBK Pirelli Riviera Di Rimini Round in Misano, the intense race concluded with Tom Sykes, Alex Lowes and Jonathan Rea crossing the finish line.

During the final lap, Chaz Davies, Jonathan Rea and Marco Melandri who were leading the race before Melandri crashed out halfway through the lap.

Davies suffered the same front tyre wash out but Rea wasn’t able to avoid him and ran over the 30 year old Brit with his Kawasaki ZX-10RR.

During the WorldSBK Pirelli Riviera Di Rimini Round which ran its course at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”, it was a weekend filled with drama and action for the race series that’s probably one the climatic points in the Superbike World Championship races. (more…)

WorldSBK: Melandri scores 100th Italian win in Misano, Kawasaki Double Podium again

The second WorldSBK race in Misano saw an amazing first race victory for Marco Melandri (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati) since 2014 in front of his home crowd.

Starting from tenth, Melandri picked up his pace to cross the finish line first ahead of Kawasaki riders, Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes.

Chaz Davies was deemed unfit to compete in Race 2 due to extensive injuries sustained in the unfortunate Race 1 incident between him and Rea while fighting for the win.

It was a fairytale comeback for the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati rider Marco Melandri as he snatched his first ever WorldSBK victory since 2014. The victory was sweeter due to the fact that it was Melandri’s home race in front of his home fans at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” for the second race of the WorldSBK Pirelli Riviera Di Rimini Round yesterday. WorldSBK: Tom Sykes wins dramatic Race 1 in Misano

The first race of the WorldSBK Pirelli Riviera Di Rimini Round held at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” saw Tom Sykes (Kawasaki Racing Team) crossing the line in first place in the final lap drama.

All three front runners who are Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati), Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team) and Marco Melandri crashed out in the final lap of the race.

Alex Lowes (Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team) secured second followed by Rea who managed to salvage the final podium spot after the huge collision with Davies.

It was an epic win for Kawasaki Racing Team rider Tom Sykes who miraculously crossed the finished line in first place during the first race of the Pirelli Riviera Di Rimini Round held at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”. It was an amazing win considering that he was in fourth at the beginning of the final lap with a significant gap between Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team), Chaz Davies and his Aruba.it Racing Ducati team mate, Marco Melandri. WorldSBK akan memperkenalkan Pakej ECU Standard?

WorldSBK sedang mempertimbangkan untuk memperkenalkan pakej elektronik yang diselaras bagi kesemua motosikal yang bertanding dalam perlumbaan.
Idea ini telah diutarakan untuk menjadikan sukan ini lebih berdaya saing dan mengujakan buat pasukan dan penunggang yang mengambil bahagian dan juga untuk para penonton.
ECU yang diselaras spesifikasinya ini diharapkan dapat memberikan peluang kepada pasukan dan penunggang lain untuk muncul di atas podium memandangkan lima pusingan pertama musim 2017 dengan jelas sekali dikuasai oleh Kawasaki dan juga Ducati.
