KTM 250 Adventure

Not really, but they could, considering how big is the adventure motorcycle segment these days.

Previously, the adventure-touring segment is filled with a long list of big-bore ADV bikes, mostly ranging 1000cc and above.

However, the growing demand for ADV bikes has led manufacturers to create small and middleweight adventures machines such as KTM’s 390 Adventure and the 250 Adventure.

This could also lead Bajaj to turn towards the ADV segment with their own version of an adventure bike.

Moreover, since the Indian motorcycle manufacturer is already responsible for putting together the KTM 390 and 250 Adventure in Pune, India, it could potentially lead Bajaj to develop their version of an ADV bike.

One of India’s render artists, @abin_designs_511 has gone ahead and created a concept look of the alleged Bajaj Pulsar F250 Adventure.

However, the rendered image showed a concept that features a sports-tourer as compared to the more adventure looks on the KTM 250 Adventure.

The Pulsar F250 Adventure has a sleeker rear and a sportier front. It also features a large belly pan similar to the one available of most of the Pulsar range.

While this is just a render image, but it could also lead to the real deal soon enough.

Meskipun belum dilancarkan di Malaysia, KTM 390 Adventure merupakan antara motosikal paling laris di pasaran India.

Ini kerana selain daripada menawarkan imej ‘adventure’, model ini dilengkapi pelbagai ciri terkini antaranya skrin TFT, ride-by-wire, traction control, cornering ABS dan sistem ‘suspension’ dari WP.

KTM juga telah memperkenalkan 250 Adventure baru-baru ini sekaligus memberi orang ramai tawaran yang lebih mampu milik.

Meskipun berkonsepkan ADV namun kedua-dua model ini didatangkan dengan rim jenis aloi lantas membuatkan 250 dan 390 Adventure bukanlah motosikal ADV sepenuhnya.

Bagaimanapun, pemilik model ini boleh menikmati pengalaman lasak yang ekstrim apabila KTM kini menawarkan rim jenis spoke yang boleh didapati dalam katalog KTM Powerparts.

Kit rim spoke ini – yang merangkumi cakera brek depan dan belakang serta ‘sprocket’ – akan meningkatkan keseimbangan dan lebih kukuh ketika ‘off-road’.

Sementara itu, KTM 390 Adventure dijangka hampir pasti dilancarkan di Malaysia selepas jentera itu diintip menjalani ujian jalan raya, baru-baru ini.

Pelancaran KTM 390 Adventure menerima pelbagai reaksi positif ketika didedahkan di EICMA 2019 baru-baru ini bagaimanapun, apa yang mengejutkan pengeluar motosikal Austria itu turut memperkenalkan 250 Adventure.

Meskipun tidak ditayangkan di EICMA, model baharu itu akan memasuki pasaran India sebagai jentera ‘entry-level’.

Menurut laporan media di India, jentera tersebut telah pun menjalani beberapa sesi ujian sebelum ini.

Rekaan luaran 250 Adventure tampak sama dengan versi 390 namun terdapat beberapa kekurangan antaranya, penggunaan lampu halogen berbanding LED, tiada fork USD boleh laras.

Versi 250 ini turut tidak menawarkan sistem Ride-by-Wire dan traction control seperti yang terdapat pada model 390 Adventure.

Bagaimanapun, KTM masih mengekalkan sistem ABS.

Difahamkan, model ini mengguna pakai enjin 248.8cc daripada KTM 250 Duke dan menghasilkan sekitar 29hp dan 24Nm tork yang kemudiannya disalurkan menerusi transmisi enam kelajuan.
