MotoGP Repsol Honda rider, Marc Marquez, has undergone a third surgery for a pseudarthrosis on the right humerus bone. This surgery which lasted for eight hours caused by his injury back in July was successful but on the flip side, he might have to stay on the side-lines for another six months to recover fully. WorldSBK is about to get more interesting this year as HRC unveils the 2020 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP for their factory squad. Enveloped in HRC’s iconic tri-colour scheme, the race bikes were presented in Japan together with their star riders, Alvaro Bautista and Leon Haslam.
HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) is serious about keeping their star rider, Marc Marquez, tied with them for a very long time as the 2019 World Champion inked a four-year contract extension to race for the Honda factory squad. Pengurus pasukan Repsol Honda, Alberto Puig, menyangkal dakwaan bahawa jentera RC213V sukar untuk ditunggang dan menyifatkan itu sebagai satu teori semata-mata.
Marc Marquez merekodkan kejuaraan dunia MotoGP kali keenam tahun ini dengan 12 kemenangan setelah merekodkan 420 mata di samping turut menghadiahkan kejuaraan pasukan.
Bagaimanapun, kejayaan Marquez tidak dapat dicerminkan rakan sepasukan, Jorge Lorenzo dan pelumba LCR Honda, Cal Crutchlow dengan masing-masing mendakwa jentera RC213V itu sukar dikendalikan.
Baru-baru ini turut timbul dakwaan bahawa pengurus Ducati, Paolo Ciabatti, mengeluarkan kenyataan bahawa HRC mencipta jentera tersebut mengikut acuan Marquez, bagaimanapun, Puig menafikan dakwaan itu.
“Pertamanya, dakwaan jentera ini sukar ditunggang bukan satu fakta, ini hanya teori.
“Buktinya, dalam tempoh 18 tahun ini Honda telah memenagani 10 kejuaraan dengan empat pelumba berbeza – Valentino Rossi, Nicky Hayden, Casey Stoner dan Marquez.
“Statistik ini membuktikan jentera Honda lebih mudah untuk dikendalikan kerana ramai pelumba telah merangkul kejuaraan dengan jentera kami.
“Terbukti dakwaan jentera Honda sukar ditunggang hanyalah satu teori dan bukannya hakikat,” jelas Puig.

The latest 2019 Honda Winner X (known as the Honda RS150R here in Malaysia) was just launched earlier this year in Vietnam. The 2019 model certainly looks apart from its predecessors but when presented in the HRC colour scheme, it looks above and beyond awesome! (more…)
