In conjunction with the 30th anniversary of the iconic CBR Fireblade, Honda invites all proud owners of the legendary superbike the opportunity to experience a day of testing at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

Dubbed the Fireblade Day, the iconic track will be reserved exclusively for all Honda Fireblade owners – from 1992MY to current – to enjoy their bikes to the fullest.

However, only CBR900RR, CBR1000R, CBR1000RR-R with stock exhaust or homologated race exhaust with dB-killer can enter the track.

Participants will have access to the track for three rounds of 20 minutes each, with timing service and transponder rental included in the EUR60 (VAT included) fee.

A tyre change service is also available at the track.

Honda tekad kembali memperkuatkan legasi CBR dengan memperkenalkan jentera ‘superbike’ serba baharu berdasarkan paten baharu yang didedahkan, baru-baru ini.

Honda CBR sememanngya jentera ikonik dalam segmen ‘superbike’ sejak kali pertama diperkenalkan menerusi CBR900RR Fireblade, 31 tahun yang lalu.

Bagaimanapun, dengan kemunculan beberapa jentera baharu dari pesaing lain antaranya Ducati Panigale V4, Aprilia RSV4, Kawasaki ZX-10R dan Yamaha R1M di samping kegagalan memberi saingan di Kejuaraan Superbike Dunia (WorldSBK) sejak kali terakhir memenanginya pada 2007, pengeluar motosikal Jepun itu tekad mengambil langkah lebih drastik.

Paten terbaru yang difailkan di Jepun itu mendedahkan beberapa ciri unik dan luar biasa terutamanya bahagian chasis.

Berbanding menggunakan chasis alumimium sebagai asas utama, enjin empat-silinder melintang telah dijadikan sebagai struktur utama kerangka dengan beberapa bahagian chasis disambung kepada enjin secara terus.

Bahagian depan chasis pula menempatkan kotak udara serta beberapa ruang bagi memuatkan komponen elektronik.

Sementara itu, aspek paling mencuri tumpuan adalah bahagian tangki dan tempat duduk yang digabung menjadi satu unit.

Menurut paten tersebut, bahagian tangki dan tempat duduk mengguna pakai bahan jenis gentian karbon dan disambung kepada bahagian enjin.

Ketiadaan ‘subframe’ merupakan inisiatif Honda bagi mengurangkan berat keseluruhan jentera.

Bukan itu sahaja, paten itu turut mendedahkan paparan meter yang menggabungkan skrin analog dengan 14,000rpm dan LCD digital serta penggunaan klac jenis hidraulik.

Mengambil kira tahap perincian paten tersebut berbanding paten lains ebelum ini jelas memberi bayangan model ini bukanlah sekadar rekaan prototaip malah bakal dibawa ke peringkat pengeluaran tidak lama lagi.

Over the weekend 179 owners of various versions of the Honda CBR gathered together at the Alrawsha Arabian restaurant near the KG Pandan round-about for their second annual mega gathering.

Some members came from as far as Johor Bharu and even the northern states. This beat their first Mega gathering last year with 136 bikes in MAEPS Serdang.

The group started about two years ago with three CBR owners, Hairullah ibrahim (poklah), Shaiful Amri Ramlee (Amri), and Muryadi Mokhtar who wanted to unite and share their love of the CBR variant.

Currently the group have about 280 members which connects mainly through Whatsapp and Facebook. And apart from the Mega gathering, its just like any other biker group with the usual TTS, rides and charity program.

In the near future, they also planning to organise trackdays and some long distance ride like across the border.

“We love to make our pool of friends bigger so interested CBR owners can join us by going over to the CBR-RR FB group,” said founder Poklah.
