Sultan Johor Perkenan Harley-Davidson Lebar Sayap Ke Selatan Tanah Air

DYMM Sultan Johor Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar berkenan dengan rancangan Harley-Davidson untuk melebarkan perniagaan di Johor Baharu.

Pengedar eksklusif Harley-Davidson, Didi Resources Sdn Bhd akan membuka Pusat 3S (jualan, servis dan alat ganti) di kawasan Jalan Stulang Laut sekitar suku kedua tahun ini.

Pengurus Besar Didi Resources, Juan Chow Wee telah pun mengadap Sultan Ibrahim di Istana Flintsones, Mersing bagi mempersembahkan perancangan tersebut.

Sultan Johor bertitah pembukaan Pusat 3S itu sebagai simbol kepercayaan Didi Resources dan Harley-Davidson terhadap potensi ekonomi negeri Johor.

“Dalam keadaan semasa, mereka masih mampu mengembangkan perniagaan di sini serta mempunyai ramai pengikut jenama mereka.

“Jalan Stulang Laut merupakan antara lokasi tumpuan dan saya berharap mereka juga dapat mengekalkan kualiti perkhidmatan dan kelangsungan operasi perniagaan yang kelak dapat menyuntik ekonomi Johor,” titah Baginda Tuanku Sultan.

Harley-Davidson merupakan antara jenama motosikal terkemuka dari Amerika Syarikat yang memiliki peminat besar di Malaysia termasuk di Johor.

Harley-Davidson Asia’s dealer agreement with Naza Prestige Bikes Sdn. Bhd. has come to an end. Naza Prestige Bikes currently operates Harley-Davidson of Kuala Lumpur, Harley-Davidson of Penang and Harley-Davidson of Johor Bharu dealerships.

The bombshell news comes in light of Harley-Davidson’s objective to increase its international business by another 50 percent of its current annual volume. The Motor Company will now embark on the quest of searching for a new Malaysian partner with immediate effect.

“We would like to thank Naza Prestige Bikes Sdn Bhd for close to a decade of partnership in Malaysia operating Harley-Davidson dealerships and building up a loyal customer base,” said Peter Mackenzie, managing director of Harley-Davidson in Greater China, India and Asia Emerging Markets.

The announcement in Harley-Davidson’s Facebook page added: “We’re working towards a seamless transition to continue bringing exciting motorcycles, parts and accessories, as well as apparel to you in Malaysia.”

It will be interesting to see who will pick up the ball and how this news will affect the Harley Owners Group (HOG) Malaysia, besides the owners of officially sold Harleys and parallel-imported Harleys.

The announcement has not been reflected in Naza Pretige Bike’s dealership Facebook pages. Owners are already beginning to enquire about their warranty status and five-year free service package. Hope to see some definitive answers soon.

Harley-Davidson of Johor Bahru officially launched

Naza Prestige Bikes Sdn Bhd, the authorised Malaysian importer and distributor of Harley-Davidson motorcycles, marked a major milestone when it launched its latest full-fledge 3S centre in Johor Bahru today.

The new Harley Davidson of Johor Bahru 3S centre now stands as a one-stop centre and dedicated hub that will cater to all Harley-Davidson motorcycle owners in the Peninsula’s southern region.

Present during the launch were several top tier executives of the Naza Group led by group executive chairman Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin. Also present here were Harley-Davidson Asia Emerging Markets’ managing director Peter Mackenzie.

Of course, no major milestone in the soutern state of Johore is complete without the approval of HRH Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, the Sultan of Johore. Sultan Ibrahim was present during a specially organised private launch ceremony and tour held prior to the scheduled press launch later in the afternoon.

The new Harley-Davidson 3S centre is located just next to Ducati Johore in the heart of Johor Bahru along Jalan Dato’ Abdullah Tahir. The two-storey facility measures roughly 470 square meters for each floor. Inside, it houses two state-of-the-art service work bays, a large showroom display area, a Parts & Accessories store, an official Harley-Davidson merchandise and apparels boutique, as well as customer waiting lounges.

The opening of Harley-Davidson of Johor Bahru was aimed at further enhancing the famed American brand’s presence in the peninsula’s southern region. It now joins in the brand’s Malaysian network along with the main Harley-Davidson of Kuala Lumpur flagship store in Petaling Jaya and Harley-Davidson of Penang.
