Didi Resources

Piaggio Group mengumumkan Didi Resources Sdn Bhd selaku pengedar rasmi baharu jenama Piaggio & Vespa menggantikan NAZA Premira Sdn Bhd, hari ini.

  • Naza Premira Sdn. Bhd. will cease Vespa operations.

  • The move takes effect from 1st January 2020.

  • They will continue to provide services for the brand until 31st December 2019.

Naza Premira Sdn. Bhd. announced that they will cease operations for the Vespa brand with effect from 1st January 2020.

The news was confirmed by Group Executive Chairman & Group CEO of Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn. Bhd., SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin.

“Since July, the Naza Group and Piaggio Group have been in mutual discussion with regards to the separation. We thank the Piaggio Group for our nine-year partnership and wish them all the best with their new partner.”

He added that letting the brand go was due to the corporation reassessing and strengthening their operations.

The company will continue to provide vehicle service, parts, warranty and aftersales service until 31st December 2019.

Although the news may come as no surprise to some, executives from the Piaggio Group had brushed aside the question on many occasions prior to this. The last such instance was during the Moto Guzzi V85TT Asia Pacific Media Launch in May 2019 which took place in Thailand.

As for the future distributor, it is expected that Didi Resources Sdn. Bhd. will take over the operations. This in view of them already being the custodians of two other Piaggio Group brands namely Moto Guzzi and Aprilia.

Stay tuned for further news.

  • Goh Brothers official workshops rolled out a special Service Clinic and Merdeka Campaign for Aprilia and Moto Guzzi owners.

  • The offer includes just RM 10 for an original engine oil filter.

  • Please visit the nearest Goh Brothers workshop for more details.

The official imported and distributor of Aprilia motorcycles in Malaysia, Didi Resources Sdn. Bhd. has rolled out a special Service Clinic and Merdeka Campaign for Aprilia owners.

The campaign seeks to care for Aprilia and Moto Guzzi owners in the country, letting them enjoy their pride and joy without as much as a worry.

As Juan Chow Wee, General Manager of Didi Resources put it, listening to customers goes beyond just selling motorcycles.

Through this special clinic, the official Goh Brothers workshops are offering the original engine oil filter from just RM 10. Together with semi-synthetic engine oil change, parts and labour, the cost totals only from RM 270 for an oil change service. (A big bike service at official service centres usually cost from RM 350 and upwards.)

The promotion is available at official Goh Brothers workshops (GBMC) in both Aprilia and Moto Guzzi official dealers.

Ownership and maintenance of large capacity motorcycles doesn’t necessarily mean high costs at official workshops. Do note that technicians are trained to carry out the job and only approved tools and machinery are used. Also, servicing at the official workshop prevents from voiding your motorcycle’s warranty.

Kempen servis ‘Never Before’ berjalan dari 1 Ogos 2019 hingga 30 September 2019!

  • Didi Resources Sdn. Bhd. launched the 2019 Aprilia Shiver 900 today.

  • It features a number of redesigns, mechanical and electronic updates.

  • It also shares a number of components with the RSV4 and Tuono V4 1100.

Didi Resources Sdn. Bhd. launched the 2019 Aprilia Shiver 900 today.

The Shiver 900 marks the first model launched by the new Aprilia Malaysia, since their confirmation as the new distributor, their inaugural track day and opening of a new service centre at The Gasket Alley located in Petaling Jaya. Mr. Goh Kian Sin and Mr. Juan Chow Wee, the Managing Director and General Manager of Didi Resources Sdn. Bhd., respectively, unveiled the new bike.

Being a naked standard, the Shiver 900 should open the door to more Malaysian bikers to the Aprilia brand. It is undoubtedly more accessible than the RSV4 superbike and Tuono V4 1100.

Its predecessor, the Shiver 750 sold well in Malaysia and well-known worldwide as a supremely reliable motorcycle.

The 2019 Shiver 900 was introduced at Intermot 2018.

Highlights:

  • 896.1cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 8-valve, 90oV-Twin engine.
  • The engine produces 95.2 bhp (70 kW) at 8,750 RPM, 90 Nm of torque at 6,500 RPM.
  • New more efficient exhaust system.

  • Pistons with reduced friction.
  • Semi-dry internal lubrication circuit reduces power losses.
  • More efficient fuel-injectors.
  • Automatic decompressor to ease starting when the engine is cold.
  • Redesigned clutch reduces lever effort by 15%.

  • The 2019 Shiver 900 enters its third year of production since 2017.
  • Ride-by-wire (rbw) throttle (the Shiver 750 was the first production bike to use that technology).
  • 3 ride mode modes: Sport, Touring, Rain.
  • Marelli 7SM ECU shard with the RSV4 and Tuono 1100 V4.
  • Advanced traction control with three level and switchable.
  • Continental dual-channel ABS.
  • 4.3-inch TFT screen (adopted from the RSV4 and Tuono).

  • The TFT features Aprilia MIA multimedia and phone connectivity, plus navigation (through the smartphone app).

  • Redesigned fuel tank side covers, side panels, tail and front mudguard.
  • Kayaba forks adjustable for preload and rebound damping.

  • Sachs rear shock is adjustable for preload and rebound damping.
  • Offered in Challenging Red and Innovation Dark colours.

95 bhp may not seem much, but the most important factor here is the spread of 2,250 RPM between maximum torque and peak horsepower. This is what’s known as an engine’s “flexibility.” A wider spread means the torque curve is smoother, besides allowing the bike to accelerate quickly in any gear.

The Shiver 900 ought to inherit the Shiver 750’s great handling characteristic, since it retains similar chassis architecture.

The 2019 Aprilia Shiver 900 is fully-imported and priced from RM 72,000 (including SST but not on-the-road).

The bike is available from Aprilia Malaysia at The Gasket Alley, Welly World Cycle Sg. Buloh and Sheng Fatt Sdn. Bhd. in Penang. Please visit the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/apriliaofficialmalaysia/ and https://www.aprilia.com/en_EN/ for more information.

DIDI Resources, the official custodians of the Moto Guzzi Malaysia, has officially launched 2018 Moto Guzzi V7 III Rough. We had the first look of the bike earlier.

First Look Review: 2018 Moto Guzzi V7 III Rough

The V7 III Rough is the latest addition to the V7 III’s extensive model line-up which includes the recently launched Carbon, Anniversario, Racer, Stone, Special, besides the Limited and Milano that are not available in Malaysia, as yet.

Moto Guzzi Malaysia introduces limited edition V7 III Carbon – Priced at RM74,900

The V7 III line-up not only represents the Moto Guzzi’s entry-level motorcycles, but also the most customizable, which is why there are so many interpretations within the manufacturer itself.

Coming back to the Rough iteration, the bike rolls on knobby tyres mounted on spoked rims, for a version that screams “urban jungle basher.” That should mean the bike is made for conquering rough city roads, as well as shooting through an unpaved shortcut. It also should be fine for light off-road paths, say to camping sites like those at Janda Baik or Mat Daling, to name a few.

In the V7 III signature minimalistic style, the front and rear fenders are polished aluminium while the fuel tank is finished in matt silver. The headlamp nacelle, handlebars, engine and single-sided swingarm are powercoated in black. The fork stanchions are enclosed in classic dust gaiters. A black leather seat with classy red stitching adds the finishing touch.

Moto Guzzi also offers an extensive array of accessories for the rider to turn his V7 III Rough into a bike which better reflects his personality.

Powering the V7 III Rough is the same 750cc, air-cooled, pushrod-activated 2-valve-per-cylinder, transversely-mounted, 90o V-Twin lump which made its debut in 1967. It produces 52bhp at 6,200 RPM and 60 Nm of torque at 4,900 RPM. The engine is tuned to provide linear torque throughout its rev range.

The engine and longitudinal gearbox are then mounted to a dismountable double-cradle frame with the same weight distribution as the legendary V7 of 46% rear and 54% front. Dual Kayaba shocks suspend the swingarm (which contains the driveshaft on one side) from the frame. This configuration provides the bike with a low and accessible seat height of just 770 mm.

While Moto Guzzi is considered the “heritage” brand under the Piaggio Group, the motorcycles are anything but, as despite being the entry-level range, the V7 III line-up features a two-level Moto Guzzi Traction Control (MGCT) and a two-channel ABS system made by Continental.

Further on electronics, the single speedometer gauge may look basic, but it displays all pertinent data such as gear position, odometer and daily trip odometer, trip time, average speed, real-time and average fuel consumption, average speed and MGCT level. The minimum and maximum engine revs can also be preset.

The instrument display may also be updated with the optional Moto Guzzi Multimedia Platform which connects a smartphone via an app to present even more data to the rider.

In launching the Moto Guzzi V7 III Rough, it also pays tribute to the upcoming Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) 2018 (happening on 30th September 2018), Mr. Simone Niccolai, the Managing Director of Asia Pacific 2Wheeler, Piaggio Asia Pacific, dressed the part for the occasion with attired supplied by Tiga Supply Co. together with the management personnel of DIDI Resources and Stronghold Cycles.

The 2018 Moto Guzzi V7 III Rough is priced at RM 69,900 for introductory units and RM 75,000 thereafter (prices are basic selling prices with SST, but no on-the-road).
