Pelumba Cardinals Racing Team, Ahmad Afif Amran menghadiahkan kemenangan untuk pasukannya apabila mengungguli Perlumbaan 2 kategori UB150 di Buriram pada Ahad.

Bermula di petak keempat ternyata tidak menyekat Afif untuk bersaing dengan kelompok depan dan bignkas menempatkan dirinya di belakang pendahulu selpeas tiga lap.

Afif kemudiannya terus mendahulu perlumbaan di lap keempat dan memulakan asakan untuk membuka jurang di lap kelima.

Dia kemudiannya berjaya mengekalkan kelajuan sehingga ke garisan penamat untuk muncul juara dengan kelebihan tiga saat berbanding pesaing terdekat, Wahyu Aji Trilaksanaka (INA) dari ONEXOX TKKR Racing Team di tempat kedua.

Wakil LFN HP696 Indonesia Racing Team, Murobbil Vithoni melengkapkan podium di tempat ketiga.

Sementara itu, Afif berterima kasih kepada pasukannya yang berkerja keras untuk mensiapkan jentera.

“Pasukan telah berpenat lelah sepanjang minggu untuk memperkemaskan jentera bagi memastikan kami mendapat catatan masa yang baik. Saya sangat gembira dengan keputusan ini,” jelasnya.

Dalam perkembangan lain, kategori SuperSport 600cc (SS600) menghadirkan pencapaian berganda untuk Malaysia apabila Mohd Helmi Azman muncul juara sementara Mohd Ibrahim Mohd Norrodin melengkapkan podium di tempat ketiga.

“Perlumbaan kali ini cukup mencabar, cuba mengekalkan kelajuan sewaktu mengekori Andi (Farid Izdihar). Tetapi apabila peluang itu tiba, saya terus memotong dan kekalkan kelajuan.

“Saya gembira kerana dapat mencatat lap yang baik,” ujarnya.

Pada masa sama, bekas pelumba Moto3 negara, Khairul Idham Pawi menamatkan aksi di tempat kelima dalam aksi sulungnya di pentas perlumbaan kompetitif selepas kembali dari persaraan.

Boon Siew Honda (BSH) memperkenalkan pilihan warna baharu bagi model RS150R 2022 meskipun Honda RS-X telah pun dilancarkan sebelum ini.

Bagi tahun 2022, RS150R tampil dengan pilihan warna Vivacity Red, Pearl Nightfall Blue dan Radiate Grey Metallic disamping jalur grafik baharu.

Bagaimanapun, tiada perubahan dilakukan terhadap bahagian enjin yang masih lagi digerakkan platform satu silinder 149.2cc yang menghasilkan 15.8hp pada 9,000rpm dan 13.6Nm pada 7,000rpm.

Spesifikasi lain juga kekal antaranya lampu utama LED, meter digital, fork teleskopik depan dan penggunaan cakera brek depan dan belakang.

Honda RS150R 2022 ini ditawarkan pada harga RM8,299 (sebelum cukai jalan dan insurans).

Bagi meraikan model Honda EX5 yang telah pun terjual lebih 2 juta unit dan sempena peringatan khas ulang tahun ke-35, Boon Siew Honda memperkenalkan EX5 Edisi Terhad.

Bagi memberikan kelainan, Honda EX5 edisi terhad ini tampil dengan pilihan warna Extravagant Gold Metallic yang terpampang di panel badan.

Imej klasik juga dipertingkat dengan penggunaan rim berwarna emas sama seperti edisi ulang tahun ke-30 yang dilancarkan pada 2017.

Meskipun menawarkan kelainan dari segi warna namun EX5 edisi terhad ini kekal dikuasakan enjin satu silinder 110cc yang berupaya menghasilkan 8.5hp pada 7,500rpm dan 8.62Nm pada 5,500rpm.

Seperti EX5 moden lain, model ini juga menggunakan Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-Fi) Honda yang menjaminakn tahap kecekapan pembakaran enjin yang optimum dan memastikan pelepas karbon rendah.

Menurut BSH, hanya 2,000 unit sahaja dikeluarkan bagi model edisi terhad kali dan ditawarkan pada harga RM5,198.

After a significant suspension update in 2021 along with other improvements, both the CBR650R and CB650R gets new colour and graphics for 2022.

The 2022 CBR6650R gets refreshed visual for both the Grand Prix Red and Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic while the 2022 CB650R now comes in Mat Jeans Blue Metallic and Candy Chromosphere Red, joining the already available Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic.

We previously tested the 2019 editions and boy, both the CBR650R and the CB650R is probably the best middleweight motorcycle currently available in Malaysia.

The two models continue to roll on with 649cc, DOHC 16-valve, Euro 5 engine that’s capable to deliver 93.4hp @ 12,000rpm and 64Nm @ 8,500rpm.

Both the CBR650R and CB650R offers Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) that allow a better rear-wheel traction and 2-channel ABS for better braking.

Other features include:

  • 41mm Showa Separate Function-Big Piston (SSF-BP) upside-down fork
  • USB-Type C socket (under the seat)

The 2022 Honda CBR650R and CB650R is available for RM45,499 and RM43,499 respectively.

Boon Siew Honda (BSH) officially welcomes the 2022 Honda CB500X and CBR500R for the Malaysian market.

The 2022 CB500X and CBR500R are now priced at RM36,099 and RM34,499.

Both motorcycles received significant updates for 2022, starting with the suspension setup that now comes in an adjustable Showa 41mm Separate Function Fork Big Piston (SSF-BP) USD fork.

Apart from improved chassis dynamics, both the CB500X and CBR500R gets newly improved twin 296mm disc with Nissin two-piston callipers.

The improved braking allows riders to pull the lever when braking without much pressure.

Other significant improvement includes:

  • 19-inch front and 17-inch lighter wheels (CB500X)
  • lightweight 5 Y-shaped spokes wheels (CBR500)
  • new headlight with a broader beam
  • optimised high/low headlight beam and front indicator position lights (CB500X)

Nonetheless, the CB500X and CBR500R continue to deliver 50hp @ 8,5000rpm and 45Nm @ 6,500rpm from its 471cc, 8-valve liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine.

Power is delivered to the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission with an assist/slipper clutch.

According to Boon Siew Honda, the CBX500X is available in three colour options; GP Red, Mat Gun Power Black Metallic and Pearl Organic Green, while the CBR500X is only available in GP Red. 

Boon Siew Honda begans its 2022 calendar by updating the Honda BeAT compact scooter.

According to BSH, the Honda BeAT gets new refreshing colour and modern graphics to cater to a younger riders and is available for a price of RM5,765.

Regardless, the 2022 BeAT continue to run on Honda’s eSP (enhanced Smart Power) 108.2cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine that makes 8.67hp @ 7,500rpm and 9.53Nm @ 5,500rpm. Power gets to the rear-wheel via a CVT transmission and conventional belt drive.

The Honda BeAT also continue to run on 14-inch wheels with 80/90 front and 90/90 rear tyre.

Thanks to the innovative enhanced Smart Architecture Frame (eSAF), the compact scooter offers better agility and ergonomics on the road while providing a greater space utilisation, resulting to a large 4.2L fuel tank and 11.7L under-seat storage.

Other features include:

  • Combi Brake System (CBS)
  • LED headlights
  • parking brake lock
  • Side Stand Switch

The Honda X-ADV is still the most unique adventure motorcycle to date thanks to its combination of a typical scooter with ADV elements.

After the comprehensive update in 2021, Boon Siew Honda has announced a new colour option for the 2022 Honda X-ADV.

The Honda X-ADV now comes in Mat Ballistic Black Metallic and joins the already available Grand Prix Red and Pearl Deep Mud Grey colour scheme.

Nevertheless, the mechanics remain the same as the 2022 X-ADV continue to make 57hp @ 6,750rpm and 69Nm @ 4,750rpm.

The power delivery is further optimized with reworked gear ratios via its Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) and retuned Honda Selectable Torque Control settings. A 3kg weight reduction also helps greatly in this department.

In terms of design, the new X-ADV presents a more rugged appearance with modern up-to-date features like its dual LED daytime-running lights leading the way. A new front windscreen was also added for better weather protection as well as better storage capacity thanks to a bigger 22-litre under-seat storage and a 1.2-litre glovebox compartment (with a USB charging port).

Like the 2021 CB1000R, the 2021 X-ADV also features a new 5-inch TFT screen that is enhanced with a Honda Smartphone Voice Control system. This allows the rider to control calls, navigation, and music via the handlebar controls and voice command (if you’re able to connect a Bluetooth helmet headset).

Honda X-ADV 2022 ini dikuasakan enjin parallel-twin 745cc SOHC 8-valve dengan penyejukan cecair yang berkemampuan menghasilkan 57hp pada 6,750rpm dan 69Nm pada 4,750rpm.

Kuasa kemudiannya disalurkan kepada tayar belakang melalui transmisi 6-kelajuan DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission).

Fungsi Throttle-by-Wire pula menawarkan empat mod tunggangan, Standard, Sport, Rain dan Gravel serta satu mod USER yang boleh diselaraskan mengikut kesesuaian.

Antara ciri lain ditawarkan:

Honda X-ADV ini juga tampil dengan ciri premium antaranya ABS, fork depan jenis USD 41mm, swingarm Pro-Link dan Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).

Honda X-ADV 2022 ini ditawarkan pada harga RM67,799.

Boon Siew Honda mengumumkan Mitsuharu Funase sebagai Pengarah Urusan dan Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif baharu syarikat itu.

Funase menggantikan Yoshitaka Nakamura yang telah pun dilantik sebagai CEO baharu bagi Honda Motorcycle Kenya Limited.

Menurut kenyatana dikeluarkan pihak BSH hari ini, Funase sebelum ini menggalas jawatan selaku Pengarah Strategi Produk, Divisyen Perancangan Perniagaan Operasi Motosikal di ibu pejabat Honda Motor Co. Ltd di Jepun.

Funase juga dilihat sebagai calon tepat mengisi tempat ditinggalkan Nakamura atas pengalaman luasnya dalam perniagaan motosikal di ASEAN menerusi rangka kerja di Thailand dan Indonesia sebelum ini.

Dalam ucapan sulungnya, Funase sempat mengucapkan tahniah kepada BSH atas kejayaan menangani kemelut pandemik Covid-19 sebelum ini.

“2021 sememangnya tahun mencabar tetapi Boon Siew Honda masih berjaya mencapai angka pegeluaran dan jualan membanggakan,” jelasnya.

Meskipun terkesan dengan Covid-19 sebelum ini, namun BSH sudah pun kembali beroperasi sepenuhnya dengan melancarkan beberapa model baharu termasuk motosikal kapcai, Honda RS-X baharu.

Boon Siew Honda has updated the Honda CBR250RR and Rebel 500 with new colour options for 2022.

The quarter-litre sports bike is now available in Honda’s Trico colour scheme which replaces the Winning Red colour variants from the 2020 model.

The new Trico Edition features a combination of red and blue that resembles the colours available on the Honda CBR1000RR-R and CBR600RR.

Nevertheless, the bike retained its 249.7cc two-cylinder engine that makes 40hp @ 13,000rpma and 25Nm @ 11,000rpm.

Despite the new colour option which includes the already available Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, the Trico Edition still maintain the same RM25,999 price tag.

Meanwhile, the Rebel 500 now features a new Pearl Organic Green paint scheme joining the already available Matte Jeans Blue Metallic and Graphite Black.

Priced at RM32,899, the entry-level cruiser makes 45hp @ 8,500rpm and 43.3Nm @ 6,000rpm from its 471cc parallel-twin engine.

Boon Siew Honda (BSH) proudly announced the 2021 Honda GL1800 Gold Wing for the local market.

The big cruiser now offers better usability with increased carrying capacity and improve pillion comfort.

The updated Gold Wing now features a bigger luggage capacity, from 11L to 61L (top case), a revised pillion backrest angle for better comfort and new audio with lightweight speakers. The new Gold Wing is also equipped with Android Auto on top of the already available Apple CarPlay.

Nevertheless, The GL1800 continue to make 125hp @ 5,500rrpm and 170Nm @ 4,500rpm from its liquid-cooled 1,833cc 4-stroke SOHC horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine.

According to BSH, the riding ergonomics has been adjusted further forward to create a better feel.

Braking is done by a combination of ABS and D-CBS (Dual-Combined Brake System) which contributes to better brake distribution to the front and rear wheels.

The 2021 Gold Wing also feature Throttle By Wire (TBW) which offers up to 4 rider modes, Tour, Sport, Econ and Rain.

 

Other electronics features include:

  • Hill Start Assist and Idling Stop – offers better control while improving fuel efficiency
  • Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) – helps maintain rear wheel traction
  • Integrated Starter Generator – combines generator and starter motor into one, with the generator operating as the starter motor when supplied with reverse power

The 2021 Hoda GL1800 Gold Wing is available only in Pearl Glare White for a price of RM210,888.
