Maznah Harun was caught off guard after discovering she had won a BMW C 400 X maxi scooter from MBSB Bank Bhd.
The BMW C 400 X were among the top prize for MBSB “Simpan Berganda Menang Bergaya” campaign.
The 81-year-old took home the maxi-scooter after a year of saving at MBSB.

Unfortunately, Maznah won’t keep the RM45,000 worth of scooter as she plans to sell it.
“I have entered many contests, but this is the first time I ever won anything.
“I will sell the scooter and the money from it will be rolled back into my MBSB Bank savings,” she said.
The BMW C 400 X scooter was among a host of prizes up for grabs during the MBSB Bank campaign, including a BMW X4 30i M Sport, Mercedes Benz A200, Mercedes Benz C200 and Mercedes Benz GLC 300 AMG.
The C 400 X is currently on sale in Malaysia for a recommended selling price of RM44,500.
NMoto first unveiled its Golden Age concept scooter back in November 2020 with the bespoke design was based around BMW C 400 X urban scooter.
Fast forward to 2021, NMoto has decided to share its design via a complete body kit to those who appreciate the uniqueness of the Golden Age.
For those who has the time to put together the kit yourself, the complete body kit currently on sale. However, if you have an extra cash lying around, you can get your hands on the complete bike built by NMoto.
According to NMoto, the kit consist of a nine-piece carbon fiber body kit, powder-coated front and rear subframe and exhaust sustem relocation kit.
The kit also includes all the grilles, side moldings, decorateive parts and the Golden Age badges.
You also get bespoke turn signal housing, headlight housing and adaptber, market-specific headlight, turn signals and rearview mirros.
The package also comes with all the mounting hardware needed to fit the body panel including OEM BWM Torq screws.

The Honda X-ADV 750 has no other competitors, making it one of the unique adventure scooters ever built.
The Japanese marquee then went ahead and introduced the smaller ADV 150, which was then followed by Kymco’s DT X360 and Yamaha’s BWS 125.
While the market remains small but it is definitely growing.
However, just to spice things up, one of the renowned concept designers, Oberdan Bezzi, decided to create his interpretation of an adventure scooter by using the C 400 X as the platform to create what he referred to as the C 400 GS.
The C 400 X is a city scooter compared to the C 400 GT, which appears in a bigger body panel and a wider front end, making it not the right candidate to receive the GS treatment.
Based on the design concept by Oberdan, the C 400 GS received taller suspension travel combined with a long beak mudguard.
Meanwhile, the rear frame now features a slender and more rugged look paired to a single shock absorber replacing the dual-shock absorber on the C 400 X.
While this might be just another concept, the design looks promising and considering that BMW already offers the G 310 GS, who knows that there might be a GS version from the BMW scooter range.

Both the C 400 X and C 400 GT now gets an optimized Automatic Stability Control (ASC), including a now illuminated under-seat storage and USB port.
The C 400 X retains its practicality as an urban scooter with upright proportions, a front mudguard, and the clear, graphic separation of the painted trim components.

On the other hand, the C 400 GT offers comfortable riding ergonomics and a high windshield for touring purposes.
Nonetheless, both models continue to be powered by the Loncin built 350cc engine capable of producing 34hp @ 7,500rpm and 35Nm @ 5,750rpm.
BMW claimed that the ASC system is optimized for a more sensitive response, especially on wet and slippery surfaces.
The C 400 GT is available in Black Storm, Callisto Grey and Alpine White, while the C 400 X is only available in the Black Storm colour scheme.

Menurut BMW Motorrad, ASC tidak lagi perlu dinyahaktifkan ketika menunggang atas permukaan basah dan licin.
Ruang letak barang dengan Flexcase 45L kini menerima pencahayaan lebih baik dengan cahaya datang dari atas berbanding sisi seperti model sebelum ini.
Selain daripada soket 12V, ruang letak barang di bahagian depan sebelah kanan kini menempatkan port pengecas USB.
BMW C 400 X didatangkan dengan tiga warna pilihan, Blackstorm metallic, Granite Grey sementara varian Style Sport datang dengan warna Blackstorm Metallic dan Racingblue Metallic.
Manakala C 400 GT datang dengan warna Alpine White dan Kallisto Grey dan Blackstorm Metallic bagi varian Style Triple Black.
A recall campaign for the BMW G 310 R, BMW G 310 GS and BMW C 400 X has been initiated in the USA.
It pertains to the bikes’ brake calipers that may corrode.
It happens in the USA due to winter conditions.
We’ve just learned of a recall campaign for the BMW G 310 R, BMW G 310 GS and BMW C 400 X in the USA.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the front and/or rear brake calipers may corrode, leading to the caliper pistons sticking or drag in their bores. The corrosion is caused by winter riding conditions. We suspect the salt applied to roads during the season as it lowers the melting point of water, thus ice melts quicker. But it also corrodes metal.
The affected models are from 2017 to 2020 for the G 310 R, 2018 to 2020 for the G 310 GS, 2019 C 400 X.
BikesRepublic.com have sought confirmation from BMW Motorrad Malaysia over this matter.
The above recall affects bikes in the American market due to winter conditions, thus does not affect bikes in Malaysia.
However, BMW Motorrad Malaysia will inform their official dealers to carry out checks on the calipers of these three bikes in the interest of safety. BMW will also update us should there be further action.
We would like to add that recall campaigns are actually a good thing. It shows that manufacturers are being responsible, rather than hiding data and facts.
