Syarikat pengeluar helmet terkenal dunia, Arai, telah memperkenalkan kit aerodinamik bagi helmet RX-7X.
Arai sememangnya jenama yang terkenal dengan ciri keselamatan terbaik terutamanya dengan penggunaan bahan seperti Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) dan sistem visor luaran yang kukuh.
Bagi memastikan kualiti terjamin, setiap helmet Arai adalah buatan tangan.
Bagaimanapun, syarikat berpangkalan di Saitama, Jepun itu kini turut memberi fokus kepada penghasilan helmet sedia berlumba menerusi kit aerodinamik bagi RX-7X.
Kit tersebut berfungsi dengan melancarkan laluan udara daripada bahagian belakang helmet kepada bahagian ‘aero hump’ di bahagian belakang pelumba.
Rekaan baharu ini lebih efisien berbanding prototaip yang dihasilkan sebelum ini oleh pelumba yang mengenakan helmet Arai.
Arai turut mendakwa kit tersebut akan memberi kesan lebih menonjol ketika dalam kelajuan tinggi.
Kit aerodinamik itu didatangkan dengan enam warna pilihan; putih, hitam, putih kaca, hitam kaca, hitam flat dan light smoke.
Ketika ini, kit tersebut hanya boleh didapati di Jepun dengan harga di antara JPY4,400 (RM179) hingga JPY5500 (RM223).

Seorang pengguna Facebook, Apish Seth, menjadi viral apabila berniat untuk menjual sebuah motosikal jenis Yamaha RXZ dan tujuh buah helmet.
Bagaimanapun, yang mencuri perhatian adalah harga yang dipinta sebanyak RM165,000!
Menurut perkongsian terebut, jentera RXZ itu merupakan model tahun 2009 dan dilengkapi rim ar125 sementara tujuh helmet tersebut terdiri daripada jenama Arai dan Shoei.
Perkongsian tersebut setakat ini telah pun mencecah 1,700 komen dan 3,000 share dengan rata-rata netizen berpendapat harga yang diminta seakan tidak masuk akal.
Awal tahun ini, sebuah kedai motosikal mencuri tumpuan apabila mengiklankan dua motosikal jenis sama dengan harga RM47 ribu di Masai, Johor Bahru.
Persoalannya, adakah harga RM165 ribu ditawarkan berbaloi bagi sebuah motosikal RXZ dan tujuh buah helmet?
Arai fans will rejoice at this news. Arai Helmets were awarded the FIM Gold Medal.
Officially called the Nicolas Rodil de Valle award, the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) handed the award to the prestigious helmet maker last week. First awarded in 1983, the gold medal is a recognition for individuals or businesses who make significant contributions to two-wheeled racing. This was the first time a gear maker was conferred the honor.
Mr. Michio Arai, the current CEO and son of founder Hirotake Arai received the medal from FIM President Jorge Viegas.
The company says that they understand the reason behind the accolade. As such, they will not compromise in producing the best rider protection as was the philosophy behind the company’s founding in 1950.
Arai Helmets began in 1950 as the first Japanese helmet maker. First produced for general head protection, the brand became known as the premier motorcycle helmet maker within a few short years. Many of the techniques employed in making helmets have survived the test of time and are still in use today.
Every part of the helmet is designed for rider safety, hence the everlasting egg-shaped R75 shell.
In celebration of winning his 16th Tourist Trophy victory at the infamous mountain course that is Isle of Man, Ian Hutchinson aka “The Bingley Bullet” has released a series of very special and limited Arai replica helmets. (more…)
