Aprilia has updated the Tuareg 660 with a new colour scheme for 2024. The adventure bike, known for its off-road prowess and unstoppable spirit, now dons an even sportier and more adventurous look, thanks to the introduction of three new captivating colour schemes.

The latest Tuareg MY 2024 is available in two fresh and nature-inspired color schemes: Atreides Black and Canyon Sand. These color options pay homage to the natural landscapes where the twin-cylinder adventure bike thrives, showcasing its close connection with the great outdoors.

Additionally, Aprilia introduces the Dakar Podium color scheme, a tribute to the Aprilia RXV 4.5 that clinched third place, including three leg wins, in the 2010 Dakar Rally, ridden by Francisco “Chaleco” Lopez.

One striking change that accompanies these new color schemes is the bold and aggressive red frame. This frame design not only adds a sporty touch but also symbolizes the racing spirit of the Tuareg, which recently made an impressive debut in off-road competitions as part of the “Back to Africa” project.

Developed in collaboration with GCorse and the Guareschi brothers, the Aprilia Tuareg is making waves in the Italian Motorally Championship and secured a remarkable third place finish in the Transanatolia Rally during its international debut. The next exciting chapter for Tuareg is conquering the African desert, a journey that aligns perfectly with its name.

A standout feature of the Aprilia Tuareg MY 2024 is its superior off-road technical package. The front mudguard proudly displays its top-class suspension travel of 240 mm, highlighting its authentic off-road capabilities.

In keeping with its off-road focus, Aprilia is expanding the range of accessories dedicated to the Tuareg for 2024. Among the additions is an air filter specifically engineered for off-road and dusty road conditions. This filter enhances engine protection by effectively filtering out dust from the intake.

In a bid to meet a wider demographics, Aprilia has unveiled its latest creation, the 2024 Aprilia RS 457.

  • The RS 457 marks a significant step forward in both technology and market appeal, reflecting Aprilia’s dedication to meeting the demands of an ever-expanding global audience.
  • Powering the RS 457 is an all-new parallel-twin 457cc engine that boast 47hp.

At the core of the RS 457 lies a seamlessly integrated engine and a rigid aluminum frame, distinguishing it from its competitors. Taking inspiration from Aprilia’s extensive racing history, the crankcase now serves as a load-bearing component, a design element previously featured in the RS 660. This innovative approach results in a lightweight build, exceptional handling, and the exhilarating riding experience that Aprilia is renowned for.

The RS 457’s electronic features are truly remarkable, catering to a wide range of riders while staying true to Aprilia’s heritage. The Ride by Wire system, developed by Aprilia’s engineers, offers three distinct riding modes that finely tune power, torque delivery, and traction control, all adjustable across three levels.

Designed to attract a new generation of riders, the RS 457 boasts lightweight construction, user-friendly handling, and cutting-edge technological advancements. Its ergonomic design includes clip-on handlebars positioned above the upper triple clamp, achieving a harmonious blend of sportiness and rider comfort.

In terms of aesthetics, the RS 457 pays homage to the legendary RS series, known for its aggressive aerodynamics and iconic design elements. Features like the LED front headlamp and the 5-inch TFT color instrument display continue the RS family’s distinctive visual identity.

Under the hood (so to speak), the Aprilia RS 457 is powered by a state-of-the-art, liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine with double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder, delivering a respectable 47 horsepower. Remarkably, the motorcycle boasts a dry weight of just 350 lbs, showcasing Aprilia’s dedication to lightweight performance.

Complementing the engine is a robust aluminum frame, a hallmark of Aprilia’s design expertise honed through years of racing success. The frame, with the crankcase as a load-bearing element, ensures the low weight, dynamic performance, and sheer riding pleasure that Aprilia enthusiasts have come to expect.

The RS 457’s suspension system includes a 41 mm front fork providing 120 mm of travel and a rear monoshock with a steel swingarm offering 130 mm of wheel travel, both featuring preload adjustability. The braking system is equally impressive, featuring a 320 mm front disc with a ByBre radial-mount 4-piston caliper and a 220 mm steel rear disc paired with a ByBre caliper. Dual-channel ABS with dual map settings ensures optimal braking performance.

As an exciting optional feature, the Aprilia RS 457 offers a quickshifter (up and down), further enhancing its performance capabilities and adding to its already comprehensive electronic package.

With the introduction of the RS 457, Aprilia is poised to set new standards in technology and style for motorcyclists worldwide. This release solidifies their commitment to delivering high-performance machines backed by innovation and expertise.

Aprilia is turning heads and causing quite the stir in the motorcycle community with a fresh teaser. Yes, a new sportbike is on the horizon, and while the teaser provides just a glimpse, it’s enough to set our pulses racing.

  • Aprilia set to unveil it’s latest sportsbike on September 7.
  • the upcoming motorcycle is believed to be the all-new RS 457 as confirmed by new trademark filing submitted in July.

From the shadows and glimpses across various platforms, what’s becoming clear is that this isn’t just any bike. It seems Aprilia is set to introduce a smaller counterpart to the acclaimed RS 660, potentially giving well-known models like the KTM RC 390, Yamaha YZF-R3, and Kawasaki Ninja 400 a run for their money.

At first, speculation ran wild with enthusiasts and fans trying to guess the name of this mysterious model. Many expected a title in line with its bigger sibling, like the “RS 440”. However, a confirmation from Motorcycle.com put these speculations to rest. Behold, the Aprilia RS 457.

So, what do we know so far?

Visually, the bike is showing its lineage. The front showcases elements reminiscent of the RS 660 and the RSV4, especially with the striking black and red color theme. Yet, it’s not an exact clone. A closer look reveals a somewhat flatter fuel tank and a seat design that boasts a distinct curve. The tail design appears more streamlined, shedding some of the sharp angles seen on the larger models.

But let’s address the elephant in the room – the unconventional name, RS 457. Most brands often opt for rounded numbers for their models. However, Aprilia has broken from the norm. Sharp-eyed fans first got a whiff of this when they spotted the number “457” in filenames of the teaser photo on Aprilia’s website.

Digging deeper, a visit to Aprilia India’s website hinted at the same. Yet, the most definitive hint came in the form of a trademark filing by Piaggio in Italy for the RS 457 logo.

While the teaser might not spill all the beans, it’s evident that Aprilia is gearing up to introduce a new gem to its lineup. And if the brand’s history is anything to go by, the RS 457 might just be the fresh breeze the motorcycle community has been eagerly waiting for.

Earlier this year, Aprilia was caught testing a smaller version of the RS 660, which was reported to be a 440cc sports bike.

  • The test mule was caught testing alongside the upcoming Moto Guzzi Stelvio.
  • In the latest development, new details emerge about the upcoming Aprilia RS 440.

Engine and Performance

The new Aprilia RS 440 is set to feature a 440cc parallel-twin engine, boasting approximately 45 bhp of power and 40 Nm of torque. Designed for those looking to upgrade from smaller bikes, the RS 440 is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and is likely to offer liquid cooling.

Design Elements

Spy shots reveal significant refinements in the motorcycle’s body design, displaying clear lineage to the Aprilia family. The LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) are reminiscent of those on the new RS 660. These DRLs not only serve as accent lights but could potentially double as turn indicators, although this is yet to be confirmed.

The bike features a split headlight design, an integrated windshield for enhanced aerodynamics, and a sculpted fuel tank. The fairing, which encapsulates most of the engine, is one of the standout design features, adding a sleek yet aggressive look to the motorcycle.

Chassis and Braking

Contrary to the RS 660’s twin disc setup, the RS 440 will incorporate a single disc setup at both ends, likely featuring radial calipers at the front. The bike also sports a custom cast rear swingarm, which is less sophisticated than that of its bigger sibling, the RS 660.

Additional Features

The RS 440 is expected to come with a fully digital instrument screen and dual-channel ABS. Bi-directional quick shifting is also highly likely to be a feature. The absence of a tire hugger and a neatly integrated underbelly exhaust point toward the bike’s focus on mass centralization.

As the summer of 2023 heats up, the motorcycle industry is abuzz with anticipation. Moto Guzzi and Aprilia, prominent members of the Piaggio Group, are gearing up to make significant announcements in the coming months.

  • Aprilia is making significant progress in introducing the RS440.
  • Seen in the photos is also the upcoming Moto Guzzi Stelvio.

Rumours have been circulating about the revival of the Moto Guzzi Stelvio since the end of June, with sources suggesting a release before the year’s end, possibly even at the EICMA event in November. On the Aprilia front, the RS 440 has been generating excitement for several months, and the Piaggio Group further stoked the flames earlier this year by discussing their development plans for a 400-450cc Aprilia sportbike.

RS660

Now, in July 2023, we have tangible evidence of the Aprilia RS 440 in action, thanks to a series of spy photos. Interestingly, accompanying the RS 440 in these images is another camouflaged Piaggio Group motorcycle, likely to be the new Moto Guzzi Stelvio, based on the V100 Mandello platform. It seems these two models are keeping each other company during testing.

The styling of the alleged Aprilia RS 440 is strikingly similar to its sibling, the Aprilia RS 660. In fact, the manufacturer went to great lengths to conceal the true identity of the RS 440, employing clever graphics decals to make it appear as an RS 660.

However, upon closer inspection, it becomes evident that the RS 440 features a single brake calliper and disc at the front, unlike the RS 660. While no official specifications have been released for the RS 440, it is highly plausible, if not likely, that this cost-conscious model will come equipped with a single front brake setup.

With these spy shots circulating, motorcycle enthusiasts eagerly await an official announcement from Aprilia regarding the RS 440.
