2024

In a highly anticipated move, Honda Motors Europe unveiled the 2024 CRF1100L Africa Twin and CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports on October 4, 2023. Enthusiasts and riders have been abuzz with speculation about these new models, and the official release did not disappoint, bringing substantial changes and enhancements to both versions.

Engine Upgrades

One of the standout improvements is in the heart of these adventure motorcycles—the engine. The beloved 1,084cc parallel twin engine remains at the core, assuring continuity in the iconic Africa Twin performance.

However, Honda has undertaken significant tweaks for the 2024 models. Riders can now enjoy a boost in torque, with 112Nm now available at 5,500 rpm, a substantial improvement compared to the previous iteration that required reaching 6,250 rpm for peak torque.

These enhancements extend beyond torque, with Honda adjusting the compression ratio to 10.5:1, fine-tuning valve timing, optimizing intake ports, and refining the engine control unit (ECU) settings for an overall performance upgrade. These modifications apply across the entire 2024 CRF1100L Africa Twin lineup.

Suspension and Handling

Honda has democratized technology by extending the Showa Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment (EERA) semi-active suspension, previously reserved for the Adventure Sports model, to the standard Africa Twin for 2024.

Additionally, tubeless Metzeler Karoo Street tires now come standard, promising improved on-road performance. A larger and five-way-adjustable windscreen, as well as a redesigned front fairing, further enhance the riding experience.

Adventure Sports Exclusive Upgrades

The 2024 CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports receives a more substantial overhaul, catering to riders who favor on-road adventures. Notable changes include a new 19-inch front wheel, wider front tire, and a 20mm reduction in suspension stroke.

Showa EERA semi-active suspension is now a standard feature, ensuring superior adaptability to various terrains. Honda has also reworked the front fairing and introduced a thicker urethane foam cushion seat for increased comfort on extended journeys.

Improved Accessibility

For riders seeking a lower seat height, the 2024 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports answers the call with its change to a 19-inch front wheel. This modification not only lowers the center of gravity but also reduces the seat height, enhancing accessibility.

Seat height options range from 835mm to 855mm and an optional low seat accessory can further reduce it to 795mm. It’s worth noting that the seat height for the standard 2024 Africa Twin remains unchanged.

Color and Features

The 2024 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin will be available in Grand Prix Red and Matt Ballistic Black Metallic. Opting for the Africa Twin with Showa EERA provides riders with additional choices of Pearl Glare White and Glint Wave Blue Metallic Tricolor, accompanied by heated grips and a standard accessory socket.

Meanwhile, the 2024 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports offers two distinct color options: Matt Ballistic Black Metallic or Pearl Glare White Tricolor.

Ducati proudly introduced the latest addition to its Multistrada family: the 2024 Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour. This highly anticipated release promises to cater to the demands and desires of avid touring riders, offering a wealth of standard features tailored to their needs.

  • the 2024 Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is the second motorcycle to feature at this year’s Ducati World Premiere.
  • powering the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour is the Grandturismo V4 engine that pumps 170hp and 125Nm.

At the core of the 2024 Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour lies the robust 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine, delivering a claimed 170hp and 125Nm of torque.

Notably, this powertrain has been engineered with an emphasis on the convenience of long-distance touring, boasting extended maintenance intervals. Ducati recommends oil changes for this engine every two years or after covering 15,000 kilometers with valve clearance checks suggested at the 60,000-kilometer mark.

This touring marvel comes equipped with four distinct ride modes: Sport, Touring, Enduro, and Urban. Sport and Touring modes provide access to the full spectrum of the V4 GT’s power, while Enduro and Urban modes adjust the output to a more manageable 112.6hp to suit varying riding conditions.

Setting a new standard for functionality and touring comfort, the 2024 Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour arrives from the factory with Travel and Radar packages pre-installed.

Notably, this motorcycle features Ducati’s adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring as standard, along with the Skyhook semi-active suspension system. Additionally, the Minimum Preload and Easy Lift functions are included to enhance the overall riding experience.

In a bid to enhance practicality further, the 2024 Ducati Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour incorporates a range of standard features, including an adjustable windscreen, handguards, auxiliary LED lighting, a tire pressure monitoring system, heated handgrips, and heated saddles for both the rider and passenger.

Furthermore, convenience is heightened with a hands-free opening gas cap, a center stand, and matching side cases, ensuring riders have ample space to stow their gear for extended journeys. The inclusion of a center stand is particularly noteworthy, simplifying routine maintenance tasks that riders may encounter during lengthy excursions, such as chain maintenance.

Ducati has not forgotten shorter riders, as they have made provisions for a factory low suspension kit, which can be optionally added to the Multistrada V4 S Grand Tour at an additional cost.

In a bid to expand its offerings and cater to the ever-evolving tastes of motorcycle enthusiasts, Suzuki is gearing up to launch the GSX-S1000X in 2024, marking its entry into the world of crossover motorcycles.

  • The GSX-S1000X is described as a “crossover” motorcycle, known for blending the best of both adventure and sport-tourer capable machine.
  • The 2024 GSX-S1000X is set to feature the tried and tested 999c four-cylinder engine.

The GSX-S1000X, while not an adventure bike like Suzuki’s V-Strom 1050DE, aims to offer a taste of adventure without the complexities of dual-purpose suspension or specialized tires. What sets this motorcycle apart is its taller suspension, a feature borrowed from the GSX-S1000GT, giving it a distinctive style and height.

This exciting development has been officially confirmed through type approval under UNECE regulations, a requirement for motorcycles in the EU and most of Europe. The “X” designation in the bike’s name, often associated with crossover vehicles, perfectly encapsulates its spirit.

Under the hood, the GSX-S1000X shares the same 999cc four-cylinder engine as its siblings, the naked GSX-S1000 and the full-faired GSX-S1000GT. This powertrain churns out a formidable 150 hp @ 11,000 rpm and 105.6Nm @ 9,250 rpm.

It retains the aluminum-beam frame found in its counterparts, with a slightly longer wheelbase of 1470mm, likely attributed to its longer-travel fork. The overall length increases from 2138mm to 2148mm, primarily due to the taller suspension and borrowed rear bodywork and license-plate bracket from the GT.

However, the GSX-S1000X stays true to its roots with 17-inch cast alloy wheels, eschewing the larger, wire-spoked design typically seen on adventure bikes. This positions it as a competitor to Yamaha’s Tracer 9 GT+.

One of the standout features of the GSX-S1000X is its elevated stance. With the screen in its lowest position, it reaches 1290mm, extending to 1351mm when fully raised. In comparison, the GT measures 1214mm and 1280mm, respectively. It’s important to note that part of this increased height comes from a taller screen, with the fork needing only a slight extension to accommodate the growth in wheelbase and length.

The GSX-S1000X boasts a broader profile, measuring 924mm compared to the GT’s 825mm, thanks to its wider handlebars and hand guards. The mirrors are bar-mounted, in contrast to the fairing-mounted mirrors on the GT. Spy photos of a prototype spotted earlier this year reveal stacked headlights, similar to the GSX-S1000, giving it a distinct appearance.

However, these additions contribute to a higher curb weight of 231kg, compared to the GSX-S1000GT’s 225kg. The most significant change, perhaps, is the top speed, which drops from 240km/h for both the S and GT models to 215km/h on the GSX-S1000X. This reduction is likely due to electronic speed limitations, aimed at ensuring the bike’s stability at higher speeds, given its increased height.

With type approval in hand, the official unveiling of the GSX-S1000X is expected to be just a matter of weeks away. Suzuki enthusiasts and adventure-seeking riders alike can anticipate an exciting addition to the crossover motorcycle landscape.

  • rim ‘forged’ Marchesini
  • tayar Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP
  • traction control
  • ABS
  • cornering management
  • quickshifter
  • stereng damper Ohlins

Ketika ini Kawasaki Malaysia masih belum menawarkan Ninja ZX-10RR untuk pasaran tempatan kecuali ZX-10R.

Ducati unveils its latest creation, the 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE. This updated model boasts a captivating design called the “Graffiti Livery Evo,” which pays homage to the iconic Ducati Graffiti livery seen on previous generations of the Hypermotard 950.

Originally introduced in 2022 as a limited edition exclusively available in the United States, the second-generation Graffiti Livery featured a vibrant combination of Ducati Red, white, and black accents.

The 2024 update takes this design to the next level, evolving it into a more dynamic and visually striking scheme. The motorcycle retains its signature black split tri-spoke alloy wheels, while the saddle now dons a captivating all-red appearance.

The graphics, consisting of bold splashes of black and white, are accented with occasional red highlights, including the RVE logo on the saddle’s right panel.

Noteworthy modifications are also apparent in other parts of the bike. The upper sides of the fuel tank are coated in an exquisite matte red finish, elegantly contrasting with the matte black surrounding the filler cap.

The beak of the 2024 Hypermotard 950 RVE features white coloring with artful black smudges, adding an edgy touch to the overall design. Additionally, the handguards, mirrors, and the cowl encircling the headlight maintain their striking matte black appearance.

The 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 lineup will consist of three variants: the RVE version with the Graffiti Livery Evo, the standard 950 model in Ducati Red, and the SP version, offering premium features like Öhlins suspension, forged Marchesini wheels, and the Ducati quick shift up and down EVO as standard.

While the RVE version includes the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) system, it does not feature the additional performance enhancements found in the SP.

Pricing and availability of the 2024 Hypermotard 950 RVE will vary by region. Ducati plans to begin delivering the RVE model with the Graffiti Livery Evo to authorized dealerships worldwide from June 2023.
