Yamaha Ténéré 700 takes home iF Design Award

If you’re in the market for one of the coolest looking adventure bikes around, the Yamaha Ténéré 700 should be high up on your list. Designed to take on any terrain, it’s also one hell of a good-looking bike and the iF Design Award team seems to agree as they handed out one of their coveted awards to the beautiful machine.

Yamaha is no stranger to the iF Design Award as they’ve been on the recipient end for the past seven years now. Past awards were given to the likes of the Yamaha MT-10, MT-09, MT-09, XSR900, and of course, the YZF-R1.

The Yamaha Ténéré 700 is no exception and designed experts affiliated to the awards committee were all in agreement that the middleweight adventure bike deserves recognition for its amazing overall façade as well as functionality.

According to Yamaha, the Ténéré 700 was designed with a ‘high degree of freedom in riding posture, high durability and ease of maintenance, along with high adaptability under load.’ In other words, you can basically ride this baby on any given terrain from tough off-road conditions to super smooth highway touring prowess.

The US market can get one of these bad boys for an affordable $9,999 (around RM41,410) and with a growing number of adventure/dual purpose riders here in Malaysia, we certainly hope that Hong Leong Yamaha can do us a solid and bring it over to the Malaysian shores.
