The 45-year-old announced his retirement on his official Facebook page recently with a heartfelt message to fans. Since 1996, Chris Pfeiffer has been thrilling his fans all over world, having toured in performed in more than 90 countries.
Pfeiffer, who began riding from the tender age of just 5 years old, achieved plenty of milestones as a stunt rider. Besides his four World Stunt Riding champion’s title garnered in 2003, 2007, 2008 and 2009, Pfeiffer was also crowned as the European Stunt Riding champion in 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008. One of the most essential tools of his trade is the BMW F800 series. Pfeiffer is known to have used custom versions of the now-discontinued BMW F800 S since 2006 before switching over to the newer and lighter F800 R version.
The marriage between BMW Motorrad and Chris Pfeiffer could not be any more perfect, with the famed German manufacturer even creating a special limited edition version of the F800 R named after him – the BMW F 800 R Chris Pfeiffer. The model, of which just 68 units were made, came with a custom paintwork plus the addition of an Akrapovič exhaust unit as well.
Of course, his retirement announcement seems like a good enough excuse to head over toYouTube and remind ourselves just how impressive Pfeiffer’s skills are.
