2020 GPX Demon GR200R launched in Thailand – coming to Malaysia soon!

GPX Thailand has launched their latest 200cc sports bike model in the form of the 2020 GPX Demon GR200R. While most models launched in Thailand becomes the envy for us here in Malaysia, GPX Malaysia has confirmed that this model will be coming to our market soon.

In fact, GPX Malaysia has already posted up a waiting list on its official website for those who are interested to get their hands on one in the near future. Everything you need to know about the new Demon GR200R is already live on the Malaysian website, which means that its arrival won’t be too long from now.

In terms of design, the new 2020 GPX Demon GR200R is not just a bigger version of the Demon 150GR. With an all-new design that screams ‘modern-day superbike’, the looks alone will probably pull in a lot of bike aficionados into getting one of their own.

Powered by a 198cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled GPX-Fi engine, the latest GPX 200cc sports bike is said to produce around 19hp and 17.2Nm max torque at 6,500rpm. All that power is sent to the rear wheel via a six-speed manual transmission.

Other interesting specs include:

  • All-LED lights with DRLs
  • Full digital meter display
  • 42mm USD front forks
  • Rear YSS adjustable monoshock with multi-link
  • Dual disc-brakes (276mm front, 220mm rear)
  • 11-litre fuel tank
  • Sporty exhaust
  • 17-inch wheels (100/80 front, 140/70 rear)

As for pricing, the Thai market can get a new 2020 GPX Demon GR200R at 76,500 baht (around RM10,600). We’re guessing that the price won’t differ too much when it arrives here in Malaysia as the current Demon 150GR is priced at RM9,800.
