Will they finally make the BMW G 310 RR?

Well, well, well. Look who’s back on the radar. It seems that the BMW G 310 RR is back on the radar as some interesting news comes out from their global partner in India, TVS Motor Company. After a successful campaign with the G 310 R and G 310 GS, a full-fairing sports bike version is set for its debut and it might come in 2021.

Talks about BMW Motorrad its third 310cc sports bike model have been going on for quite some time due to the fact that TVS already has its version in the market, the Apache RR310. The bike is doing well in India and with a new engine update to meet with the country’s new BS6 emissions regulations, the big boss himself has hinted something interesting.

According to K.N. Radhakrishnan, CEO & President of TVS, “With respect to BMW, I think they are extremely happy. The two products are doing extremely well. We have launched our one version (Apache RR310) on that platform, the new one with BS-VI engine was recently launched. And we, possibly next year, will have one more variant of that from TVS Motor Company.”

In other words, there will be a new variant in the TVS 310cc line-up coming in next year. Will it transfer over to BMW Motorrad? Possibly. Should they invest in an entry-level sports bike? Definitely. Will there be buyers? We’re pretty sure that the numbers will be healthier than both the G 310 R and G 310 GS combined IF they play their cards right.

Now this is a custom BMW R nineT!
