Honda motorcycle assemblers and distributors Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd introduced the updated 2022 Honda Dash 125 commuter moped (kapchai) into its line up earlier today. In its new model year guise, the Dash packs a host of updates and changes all around including a revised powertrain.

Powering the 2022 Honda Dash 125 is an air-cooled 125cc SOHC single-cylinder mill that’s primed with Honda’s signature PGM-FI electronic fuel injection suite. The mill delivers decent pep with roughly 9.6HP and 9.54NM on tap, but it’s Euro 4-compliance and local status as an EEV (Energy Efficient Vehicle) that headlines things here.

Typically, said mill gets paired with a 4-speed constant mesh transmission and chain-drive setup brimmed with an auto-clutch module. Other features present include hydraulic disc brakes (front and aft), 17-inch wheels shod in tubeless tyres, telescopic front fork and twin rear shocks, LED headlight, as well as a decently-sized 4-litre fuel tank.

Aesthetic changes are also notable, with this new 2022 model boasting a host of new graphics to go with the three paint scheme options available – Red, Blue and Yellow. There’s also a revised meter panel design, as well as a sporty new front visor and handlebar covers that promise greater comfort.

Surely, with its Euro 4-compliance and EEV status, the 2022 Honda Dash 125 promises to be a highly economical urban runabout. That, along with the sharp and modern styling and respectable kit count it packs ought to justify the RM6,449 base retail price it commands (excluding on-road costs).

Included in said price is a two-year or 20,000KM warranty coverage for added peace of mind as well. Expect to see the 2022 Honda Dash 125 hit dealer showroom and floors nationwide starting this week.
