  • Triumph Motorcycles and Gibson enters unique collaboration for this year DGR event.

  • The matching guitar underpins Gibson’s legendary Les Paul series.

  • This set will be awarded to the best global fundraiser of this year’s DGR event.

Individually, motorcycles and electric guitars stand and lifestyle icons in their own right. Rarely do the two merge, until recently that is as Triumph Motorcycles and Gibson chose to link up for this year’s edition of the DGR – Distinguished Gentleman/s Ride.

The result of this collaboration sees both iconic brands creating a unique custom one-off motorcycle and guitar set – the latter based off the American guitar purveyors legendary Les Paul model, and the former underpinning the popular Triumph Bonneville T120 modern retro.

In case you were wondering, this special one-off guitar-and-bike set will be handed over to the best global fundraiser in this year’s DGR event. Here’s what you ought to know about each:

The guitar

Christened as the 1959 Legends Custom Edition, this one-off creation features unique Triumph design detailing. Key amongst which is the hand coach-lined pickguard that’s inspired by the Bonneville’s engine fins, followed by etched pick-up covers, branded truss rod cover, and reissue switch backplate.

The bike

Also christened as the 1959 Legends Custom Edition, it’s essentially a Bonneville T120 that’s been giving a special styling redux to mirror the one-off Gibson guitar it is paired with. Unique design details include a beautifully unique hand-painted sunburst paint scheme matched with Jet Black painted guitar neck and headstock shape, edged with hand-painted coach lining, plus a host of branded touches. Of course, in comes finished in only colour, authentic sunburst, like the guitar.

Certificate of Authenticity

Along with the 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue certificate of authenticity, the one-off Legends Edition Bonneville T120 will also come with another certificate signed by Cesar Gueikian, Brand President of Gibson Brands, as well as Triumph CEO, Nick Bloor.
