Moto3: Petronas Sprinta Racing signs Darryn Binder for 2021

It was a good weekend for the Petronas Sprinta Racing squads throughout all three categories in MotoGP and to ensure that they will be able to carry that momentum well into 2021, the Moto3 division has signed with Darryn Binder for the upcoming season.

The younger brother of KTM’s Brad Binder, Darryn Binder has showed great talent throughout his time in Moto3, especially this season. Constantly fighting with the front runners, Petronas Sprinta Racing believes that they are able to bring out the best of this young South African as they see huge potential.

According to Darryn Binder, “I’m really happy to be joining PETRONAS Sprinta Racing for next season. I was super excited when the opportunity came, and I think we have big potential together and a great package to work with. I feel like we can do a really good job together and can have a bright future. Personally, I think that this is the best opportunity to make the last step up to continually be at the top of the standings. Our target will be to fight for the top positions at every race.”

As for Johan Stigefelt, Team Director, “I’m really pleased that we have signed Darryn for next year. We have seen that he is an aggressive, talented and good rider, especially on the race day. This is the kind of guy that you want to work with, who wants to take the next step in his career, and the type of rider who you want in your team who can challenge for the front.”

A passionate individual when it comes to anything related to two wheels (or sometimes more), he enjoys the chaotic and magical world of motorsports as much as riding leisurely to the shops on his beloved Vespa. With an education-based background, he is always eager to learn and share about the poetic arts of motorcycling.
