Malaysia Superbike Championship Round 2 postponed

The second and final round of the 2020 Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) was set to take place this weekend from 16-18 October 2020. Boon Siew Honda Racing Team’s Zaqhwan Zaidi was looking forward to sealing his championship crown this weekend but unfortunately, Round 2 has been postponed.

This is due to the fact that the Malaysian government will be enforcing the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Putrajaya from 14-27 October 2020. All participating parties from Sepang International Circuit (SIC) and Two Wheels Motor Racing (TWMR) are looking into when this round will be able to take place, most likely sometime in November.

In the first round, Zaqhwan Zaidi dominated all three races with his Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2 and took home all three wins without breaking a sweat. All he needs from Round 2 is just one more win out of three planned races to win the 2020 championship title, but he and the rest of the MSBK paddock will just have to wait until further notice.

If you’re craving for some motorsports action, the MotoGP paddock heads to Aragon this weekend where all teams and riders will be taking part in back-to-back races at the same venue for the next couple of weeks. Looks like the Spaniards have a major home advantage, folks.
