Harley Davidson Releases New 2017 Road King Special

  • Road King with a ‘darker and bolder edge’ attitude

  • Harley’s first Milwaukee-Eight™ 107 (1,753cc) engine with all black finish

The guys over at Harley Davidson have released a special edition for the current Road King model. What they’ve basically done is took the standard (but already awesome) Road King and gave it more attitude, making it bolder with a darker edge and feel.

Some of the special features available in the special edition are ‘mini ape’ handlebars, new stretched saddlebags and a new set of forks and shock absorbers that Harley claims to further improve the Special Road King’s handling and ride comfort. Another special feature is the all-black engine finish to go with the edgy theme of the special. It’s actually Harley’s first Milwaukee-Eight™ 107 cubic inch (1,753cc) engine with the black colourway.

According to Harley’s Vice President of Styling and Design, Brad Richards, he stated that “By exchanging chrome surfaces for black and lowering the bike’s profile, we’ve moved the traditional Road King into a new space that’s very current in the custom bagger scene.”

There’s no news on when it will hit our shores but it will be available in four different colours; Vivid Black, Charcoal Denim, Hot Rod Red Flake Hard Candy Custom or Olive Gold. The one in photo is the stunning Olive Gold. It will be available in the UK at £19,995 or around RM111,191.
