Brace yourselves, Bilstein is making motorcycle suspension parts!

If you’re familiar with the world of vehicle tuning, the brand Bilstein is probably one of the brands that has always been mentioned in a lot of conversation. Now, bikers can join in the fun as the German suspension company is getting ready to release their very own line of motorcycle suspension parts.

Hard at work for the past five years, Bilstein will be releasing the motorcycle suspension series by the end of the year (presumably once all the COVID-19 pandemic dies down, possibly during Intermot or EICMA) for both road and track usages.

Their first set of premium suspension units will be available for the BMW S 1000 RR and judging by the photos they’ve posted, these Bilstein suspension looks absolutely amazing. And it’s not just for the new 2020 model, the Bilstein units will be available for the BMW superbike that dates back to 2009.

Bilstein is going against some very stiff competition in the market (Öhlins, Showa, WP Suspension, etc.) but their goal is more or less the same with other suspension manufacturers – to create the best products to the point where motorcycle manufacturers will appoint them as an official OEM partner for their future bikes.

Looking at the front forks which features a gas monotube construction, huge dials in blue and red can easily help riders to adjust to the proper settings even in the middle of racing while wearing thick gloves. The rear unit also comes with the same coloured adjustments but Bilstein pointed out that their product will be more superior due to its strong yet lightweight configuration.

Bilstein is also eager in proving themselves worthy in the world of racing. They’ll surely make themselves present in some championship series like British Superbikes and maybe WorldSBK, but if they’re as good as they are in the world of four-wheels, we wouldn’t be surprised if someone wants them in MotoGP. Interesting, very interesting…
