Bosch launches world’s first fully-integrated split screen for motorcycles

Bosch has unveiled its latest fully-integrated split screen for motorcycles in the form of a huge 10.25-inch TFT display. With the ability to be integrated with today’s smartphones via the mySPIN app, this beauty offers better info display which is going to be made available starting with Ducati and Kawasaki soon.

According to Geoff Liersch, President of the Two-Wheeler & Powersports unit at Bosch, “Our clusters in combination with mySPIN offer a new riding experience with more safety and convenience for motorcycle riders. For us, this is the next step in terms of connectivity for motorcycles.”

This new 10.25-inch TFT display has already debuted on this year’s latest BMW models. Users will have all the necessary information needed without causing a distraction as they are all customisable via controls mounted on the handlebar.

It works together with the mySPIN smartphone app to ‘show relevant information fitting the size of the motorcycle display’ such as speed limits and warnings.

It’s also said to be linked with other apps like REVER, Genius Maps, and Sygic to offer even better riding experience, suggestions, and navigations for fellow riders. Safety will also be an important aspect of this system as Bosch is planning to include things like Help Connect, a digitally connected emergency call system for motorcycles.
