BMW Motorrad launches new BMW R 1250 GS & GS Adventure

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the GS, BMW Motorrad took the opportunity to launch the newly revised BMW R 1250 GS and GS Adventure just in time before the year ends. There are a lot of updates this time around and you can be sure that these beauties are more dynamic, fun, and safe than ever before.

To start things off, the new BMW R 1250 GS family still comes with the 1,254cc boxer engine with BMW ShiftCam technology that churns out 136hp and 143Nm of torque (just like the previous generation model). This time around, its Dynamic Traction Control is further enhanced with a new “Eco” riding mode to further increase its fuel efficiency. Great for long-distance touring, eh?

They’ve also included the new BMW Integral ABS Pro as standard for both the GS and GS Adventure models. This further increases the safety levels of the adventure bike in all sorts of riding conditions, even in inclined positions.

There’s also the Hill Start Control drive-off assistant as standard for easier riding when you’re stopped when going uphill. This can be further amplified with the Hill Start Control Pro (HSC Pro) as an added option for better starting performance in all riding conditions.

Other updates include new full-LED adaptive headlights with “Goodbye” & “Follow Me Home” functions, optional handlebar risers, “40 Years of GS” colour options, and a wide array of optional parts to elevate the new BMW R 1250 GS and GS Adventure even further.
