Auto Bavaria successfully organised Thailand convoy

Auto Bavaria, the official custodian for BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad here in Malaysia, recently organised its first-ever overseas ride dubbed the Auto Bavaria Ride to Khao Yai. The six-day day was held in conjunction with BMW Motorrad Day in Thailand last month where 20 invited BMW bike owners travelled around 3,000km from Auto Bavaria Glenmarie showroom all the way to Khao Yai, North Thailand, and back.

A host of incredible BMW Motorrad bikes joined in the festivities from the R 1200 GS, R 1200 GSA, R 1200 RT, R 1250 GS, R 1250 GSA, and S 1000 XR. The convoy was flagged off on 7 November 2019 at 4.30 am and they managed to cross the Thai border on the same day at 11.00 am. The convoy got even more festive upon arriving at the Vista Hotel in Danok where they met up with the Auto Bavaria Penang team to continue their journey up north.

The entire Malaysian convoy went through many beautiful sights and sceneries of Thailand such as Route 41 Cowboy Town, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Suratthani, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Ratchaburi and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya before finally arriving at their destined arrival point, Khao Yai. That’s over 1,500km with no issues nor breakdowns. Talk about durability, eh?

The BMW Motorrad Day Thailand was organised at the 8Speed motor track to celebrate the glorious brand presence in the region. The night was followed by a gala dinner at the Nana Beach Resort in Chumphom as a show of appreciation for its loyal customers, dealers, and enthusiasts. Good music and great food amongst BMW Motorrad enthusiasts all around.

The Auto Bavaria Ride ended safely and successfully on 12 November 2019 when all the riders successfully crossed back into Malaysia and made their way back home. Rest assured that more awesome rides will be organised for all Motorrad customers in the near future. Owners and enthusiasts may visit BMW Motorrad Auto Bavaria Facebook or Instagram for updates.
