2021 Honda Monkey Gundam limited edition launched in Thailand – RM17,500

A.P. Honda aka Honda Motor Thailand unveiled the 2021 Honda Monkey Gundam limited edition models, which come in two different forms – the Monkey RX-78-2 and MS-06S CHAR’s ZAKU II. For all you Gundam fans, this is as legit as you can get when it comes to official Gundam motorcycles.

Folks who attended the launch at the Thailand Motor Expo 2020 got to witness these two very unique models based on the 125cc Honda Monkey (which ironically is no longer listed on the Boon Siew Honda website).

Anyway, both of these limited-edition Honda Monkey Gundam models come with carbon fibre-wrapped fuel tanks together with a specially-made CNC-machined aluminium logo, air filter cover with dedicated Gundam model graphics, and special colours to resemble each giant fighting robot.

Only 125 units of each version will be produced and each bike comes with a special key case and key ring. If you’re wondering about the price tag, A.P. Honda is planning to sell each unit at 129,900 baht, which is around RM17,520.

Owners will also get a special premium box containing Gundam multipurpose storage box, RX-78-2 Gundam pattern, sweater, Bluetooth speaker, acrylic stand, and model according to the bike of your choice. If you’re a true Gundam collector, it is definitely worth spending the money on one or both of these.
