2021 Honda CB500X unveiled in Malaysia – RM36,099

Boon Siew Honda (BSH) unveiled its latest 2021 Honda CB500X for the Malaysian market earlier today. Dressed to impress with its ‘Ready for the Wild’ adventure style, the CB500X is the perfect all-rounder for all sorts of riding styles from daily commutes to long-distance touring.

Priced at RM36,099 (excluding insurance, road tax & insurance), the 2021 Honda CB500X comes in three new colour options – Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic, Grand Prix Red and Pearl Metalloid White. All three comes with a red rear subframe which pays homage to the Africa Twin model.

Its sharp adventure style is further complemented with the additions of long-travel suspension package (preload-adjustable for both front and rear), improved riding ergonomics, 19-inch front wheel (17-inch rear), and overall lighter kerb weight.

Underneath all that jazz lies a 471cc parallel-twin DOHC liquid-cooled engine which produces 49.7hp at 8,500rpm and 44.7Nm torque at 7,000rpm. This slight increase in power output produces a sportier soundtrack when paired with its dual-exit pipes.

For better riding ease, the 2021 Honda CB500X also comes with an assist/slipper clutch for smoother gear shifts as well as rideability when manoeuvring through traffic congestions. Other specs include an LCD instrument display, full LED lighting system, increased steering angle, dual-channel ABS and many more.
