2019 Yamaha Lagenda 115Z GP Edition unveiled – RM5,580

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has unveiled the latest 2019 Yamaha Lagenda 115Z GP Edition in conjunction with the final round of the Petronas AAM Malaysian Cub Prix at the Sepang International Circuit. This very limited edition was launched to celebrate the success of Malaysia’s first-ever MotoGP team and their successful maiden season in the premier class, the Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team (SRT).

Dressed in the same livery as the Petronas Yamaha SRT squad’s Yamaha YZR-M1 MotoGP bikes ridden by Fabio Quartararo (2019 MotoGP Rookie of the Year) and Franco Morbidelli, the 2019 Yamaha Lagenda 115Z GP Edition comes in the matte dark grey and Petronas green colour combo together with all the sponsorship stickers to match.

Powered by a 115cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the Yamaha Lagenda 115Z produces close to 10hp (7.4kW) at 7,750rpm and 9.9Nm of maximum torque at 6,500rpm. Perhaps the biggest difference that can be seen on the GP Edition model (compared to the 115Z model) is the twin gas shock absorbers mounted at the rear for better overall handling and riding experience.

HLYM has announced that this particular model will be a limited run and each unit comes with a certificate of ownership. The 2019 Yamaha Lagenda 115Z GP Edition is priced at RM5,580 (basic price without insurance & road tax) and will be available at all Yamaha authorised dealers starting mid-December.
