From the ‘Land of Joy’ comes the latest addition into the Ducati Scrambler family that is the updated 2019 Ducati Scrambler Icon. The latest Ducati Scrambler makeover is now more contemporary, comfortable, and safe in a more affordable and essential middleweight bike package.

Although the Scrambler Icon has been updated for 2019, the perfect mix of tradition and innovation from the latest ‘Joyvolution’ series still retains the very essence of riding excitement which is the simple combination of two wheels, a wide handlebar, and a simple yet powerful engine all mixed together with specs such as cornering ABS and more.

The new makeover for the 2019 Ducati Scrambler Icon starts with a new aluminium side panels which are now beefier to match with the bike’s teardrop fuel tank and headlights. Speaking of headlights, the Icon has been fitted with a brand new unit which comes with a Daytime Running Lights (DRL) placed on the outer rim which is inspired by its bigger and more powerful sibling, the 2018 Ducati Scrambler 1100.

New LED indicators have been installed with automatic turn-off capability further highlights the bike’s modern touch to its retro appeal. Another major update is its new switchgears which are now more ergonomic for fellow riders to scroll the Icon’s LCD instrument menu, which now includes a fuel lever indicator.

As for the overall riding experience, Ducati took the new Scrambler addition and gave it a good boost with wide handlebars, new flat seat, and a renewed suspension set-up for a more comfortable and relaxed riding position. Thanks to its low weight (189kg wet) and low centre of gravity, great handling is always on offer with its 10-spoke light alloy wheels (18-inch front, 17-inch rear) wrapped with Pirelli MT 60 RS beefy rubbers.
