Talks about a possible 10th anniversary 2019 Aprilia RSV4 are currently ongoing in the world of motorcycling.
The 2019 model is set for the latest updates in order to stay ahead of the game, especially in WorldSBK.
We’re talking about a massive power increase, new chassis, the latest electronics, aero-fairings, and many more.
The Aprilia RSV4 superbike has been around for quite some time now and for 2018, it will be celebrating its 10th anniversary as one of the most unbelievable sports machines of all time. With that being said, is Aprilia planning anything special to celebrate this decade-long success?
There are not that many full-production superbikes running a race-proven V4 engine setup. Through factory teams in championship series across the globe including WorldSBK, Aprilia prides in itself on coming up with the latest technology for RSV4 for every generation.
In fact, the Aprilia RSV4 series is the very first superbike which was implemented with an inertial measurement unit (IMU) together with a sophisticated traction control system and also ride-by-wire throttle. More and more updates were piled on every few years and this made the RSV4 a very formidable machine that anyone with enough cash can own.
Right now, rumours are going around that Aprilia does have something special planned to celebrate a decade-long success which also means one thing; the next-generation Aprilia RSV4 is going to blow our minds right out of the water! (We hope. Oh boy, do we hope…)
To ensure that the RSV4 stays ahead of the game, some say that the 2019 model will probably come with a power increase, updated chassis, new aero-fairings, state-of-the-art electronics, and many more. A 220hp power bump is a possibility considering that they have to fight the likes of Ducati and their upcoming Panigale V4 R.
The upcoming 2019 Aprilia RSV4 is currently still being discussed and we’re pretty confident that the Italian manufacturer has something up their sleeves for the upcoming EICMA 2018 show in Milan, Italy come November. Stay tuned to Bikes Republic for more updates.
