SBK – Bikes Republic Time Trial – Round 1 Gallery

It’s about time we put up this post featuring all the shots taken from this year’s first SBK-Bikes Republic Time Trial. Apologies for the delay.

The SBK-BR TT does not need an introduction for the local biking fraternity; having first taken place last year at the Sepang International Circuit.

But for those who are not in the know, the SBK-BR TT is Malaysia’s first Time Trial for Superbikes, and though the Time Trial concept has now been adopted by other track day organisers, the SBK-BR TT remains unique.

For starters it is the only track day cum Time Trial to feature a special something for everybody. Put in the most number of laps, you win a trophy called the Iron Man. Show up on a beautiful clean bike with clean but battle scared leathers, you win a trophy called the Best Looking Bike.

Heck there is even a karaoke set available in case you need to let off some steam from the heat of the ride.

Long time supporters BMW Motorrad also made an appearance with a number of bikes including the brand new BMW S1000R and the S1000RR available for test ride. Yes, available for test ride for anybody!

Also making an appearance was popular Malaysian artist Zizan who came to pound his KTM 1290 Duke R.

The SBK-BR TT is headed by track day organiser and promoter Haizal Omar and is supported by the team from Bikes Republic.
